Probably Butch before the 16 season. We had just had a 9 win season for the first time in a long while and lots of returning starters, including Dobbs, Kamara, Hurd, Malone, Jennings, Cam Sutton, Reeves-Maybin, and Derek Barnett.

We were ranked preseason top 10 and got as high as 9 before crapping the bed. It is by far the most wasted opportunity the Vols have had since the 01 SECCG.

I did think of that season. I never bought into the car salesman though. I’m not ready to anoint Heupel yet, but I’m more optimistic about him and the team than I have been in a while.
