The five things that stood out to me from Fridays game that tell you we are back!

1. Athletes on both sides of the ball. It was amazing to watch. At times it felt like we had 12 guys out there on defense. The offense was as expected. It doesnt matter how good the coach is, you have to have great players to win. :pepper:

2. Adjustments made during both the 2nd quarter and at half time were impressive. After the 1st quarter, the secondary play and improved qb pressures on defense were obvious. On offense we saw them adjust to the 2 wr look with extra te to make major improvements in the run game and the ability to grind out some drives in the 2nd half. :compute:

3. Attack, Attack, Attack on both offense and defense. Wow, it was amazing to see the high flying offense and the blitz from anywhere defense. :machgun:

4. Explosive plays again on both sides of the ball from the attacking style of play were fantastic! Several turnovers, a safety, qb hurries, bombs, end arounds, wow! Talk about putting pressure on the other team! :focus:

5. Finally, one of the greatest things about the win was it was perfect for the team. It had everything a coaching staff would want in a game. The team can celebrate a great win but also be coached up for the rest of the year. With some of the communication issues on the field, negative plays on offense and blown coverages on defense, the team can stay grounded and continue to look to improve.

It feels soooo good! :dance2:

I want to believe 10-2 but the Magic8Vol says, "a realistic 9-3", we are still to thin with depth at some positions to hope for more, even though I do!

Great post. The adjustments made throughout the game were impressive. Better coaches=better coaching.

DD said he hasn't seen one of his UT teams act like this one before the game and during the game. He felt the difference.

One important aspect of this is how important this win was to those '13 recruits waiting to see if the '12 version of the Vols are going to win. Obviously there is a lot of football to be played, but what they saw had to excite them. The Vols were aggressive on both sides of the ball and were fun to watch. If the Vols continue to play aggressively, I think Dooley reels in some of those big names.

This is why the UF game is so important.

1. 12? We all know Dooley prefers 13.

2. Didn't know we had a chiropractor on staff.

3. Coach Majors, is that you?

4. Yeah, bombs + pressure = explosive.

5, Perfect? This win and 8/9 more, gets us a chance to lose to bama twice in one season....

Other than that, great post! :)
