Does anyone other than myself believe we won't know what really happened, ever?? I just don't feel that we will ever get the full facts and that the university is going to do all that is necessary to work with the KPD to try and do as much damage control as possible, including more dismissals. I just think this thing is bigger than we know, but probably more complicated and flimsy too. Too much happened in there for them to get a good feel on what happened, plus with the possible involvement of alcohol, it's going to make charges flimsy as well. I see almost everyone getting a possible plea deal in this at this point.

I agree with you completely, unless some big time charges get handed down, then of course the entire story must come out.

If charges are kept small, we will never have a clue.

I have kind of felt this way since the night after it happened. After I starting reading some of the quick reports that came out, I realized that almost all of them contradict each other. When its 2 am at a bar, 90% of everyone there has probably had too much too drink. I think it is for that reason that we have so many different twists of the story. People not really seeing what they think they did, or people misjudging what they really did see. Plain and simple, alcohol can cause mondo problems with young athletes everywhere.

you are exactly right. Which is why I questioned Hat's comments a few nights ago when he said that depending on how Dooley handles this and how he hands out punishments etc could change his mood on Dooley - becaue the truth is, none of us will ever know whether or not Dooley handled this situation well, because none of us will ever know what really happened and will come down to which account we want to believe.

So, are you saying that this is HAT's perfect reason to always hate Dooley? Because "YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!". j/k

I really don't care about the truth. I just want all players involved to get off scott free. Done.

Based on what I've read it doesn't sound like the Russell family is necessarily eager for this "just to go away".

Excuse me for caring nothing about the Russell family's desires. I hope they move to Kentucky.

Nothing but truth in this post right here...

Sounds like dude started a fight he would never win and met the truth. Now he wants "justice" when he should have just shut his mouth.

All the lawyers on here may disagree but dude is a wannabe and got owned. His life path has been dictated by his foolish actions. Hate it for him but he did it to himself to paraphrase Radiohead.

right, because it sounds more likely that a fat white kid started a fight with a 300+ pound UT football player than it does that Montori Hughes is a thug and felt "disrespected."

what foolish actions, exactly? I can't believe you really think this guy would have picked a fight with Montori Hughes, arguably the biggest guy on UT's team... I would understand if we were talking about David Oku or something, but Hughes? But like i said earlier, people are going to believe what they want to believe... As long as we win games, right?

I've been reading about this mess with an eye towards the truth. After a lot of trepidation and subsequent thought I've made the logical assumption that the only person to gain from Any of this is Russell. He lost and defense of him will be futile. Dude lost and ruined his and many others lives. Failure is sad.
