'26 ASU Transfer QB Sam Leavitt (LSU)

Leavitt is 6'2" 205. Dobbs was 6'3 225, maybe 230. Dobbs may be little faster, and can cut better on a straight line. But damn, dude has a stiff leg move. That spin move👀

I will add that we normally over estimate qb size to SEC speed and size. This dude took shots in PAC 2, he will get pummeled in SEC.
Josh never got to 220 here. I know that for a fact. He did get much stronger in his lower body and hardly ever got the worst of any collision.

BG12 is defunct isnt it? Well, in that case he's not used to playing a team with a defense, like any defense. They literally go stand there.

Tim Banks would be a Nick Saban in Bg 12
You’ve had the Portal Flu the last few days…
Is Texas Tech in the Big 12 with Arizona St? Utah? Hardly a cupcake conference. It’s one of what they call the Power 4. Don’t be a Nega Vol and pull all the shades down for the sake of a dark room…

If that vid doesn’t excite you I can’t help you bud, welcome to NegaVol territory…

i'm a fan, not a football guy. looks like a lot of RPO stuff, and spread. again if so, how does that translate to Heups O? Is he looking st Oregon for that reason?

Seriously? Most of our running plays are zone reads, Joey just rarely pulls it because the end doesn’t crash, doesnt have the green light, or just doesn’t want to run it… Essentially same offense with Hendon, he just pulled it more…

Certainly some good moves, but I'm careful with highlight videos. One thing I was noticing in those videos that the games were relatively low scoring against better competition. Also noticed some plays where there was a checkdown open before he took off running.

My concerns about QBs are:
Can they read a defense?
Can they go through progressions quickly?
Can they put the ball where it needs to be? Long, intermediate, outs and ins/slants
Can they run the offense with pace?
Are they willing to stand in the pocket when needed?

the added running dimension is nice, and it looks like he has some good wheels and instincts (pre-injury), but the other things are important too.

Dobbs was a magician at avoiding the big hits. He never seemed to take a solid shot. Hendon on the other hand, was almost the exact opposite.
