I really hate that Heup is caught in this position. If you get a commitment from Leavitt then GMac might portal.
You can't go into a season with only 2 quarterbacks, and there is zero visibility on resolution of Joey's court case.
Unlimited portal movement is going to kill this sport unless addressed.

I could make the case it might actually keep Gmac around

If Leavitt can't go in spring practice (maybe not even in the summer), it gives GMac and Faizon all the reps in the spring and really will allow the staff to see where they are with them.

This dude is a stud when healthy.

Big decision to make. Is it worth the funds for the risk? That will be in Heupel.

And does it cause us to not take a couple more defenders if so?

Glad I don’t have to make the call.
Sounds like someone has fronted the money separately for the qb. Doesn't effect the rest of our nil

If Leavitt is healthy and agrees this is a one year deal, and if the two young QBs are on board with him coming in for one year, it’s a no brainer… A healthy Leavitt is a stud

I will say this and this is going to be a gamble. But if you do get him at 100% healthy and your defense is just a little better than last year the you are immediately contenders. Hooker-esque with his legs he’s accurate and doesn’t turn the ball over.
Good points. I would take the risk.
