I'd take Pribula if he's not too expensive. Fits the system, can run, and looked good before the injury. Needs to cut down on the INTs a little (our system and being a 2nd year starter should help that), but had a very high completion % at 67.4.To be honest that may work out even better. Could get another Chambliss for cheap.

Would be a solid option. And there is no worry about recovering from a major foot injuryI'd take Pribula if he's not too expensive. Fits the system, can run, and looked good before the injury. If Joey wins his case, he should 100% be back. He’s a good athlete who did a fantastic job given the circumstances. Now he’s got a year under his belt and will actually be able to practice with the entire team for a full spring and summer. Why wouldn’t we want that over a guy who’s just had foot surgery, doesn’t know the playbook, and from what I understand, won’t be able to practice until May? I’m really having a hard time understanding the debate here.
Edit:
And apparently Leavitt is a bit a “all about me” type of guy. The last guy we went for like that left us high and dry and is now back on the west coast.
The smarter play would've been to move this entire time like Joey isn't going to be back while keeping the door open on the off chance that he will beIt’s very simple. If Joey’s case is decided before the portal closes, sure. If it hasn’t been decided at that time, Heupel has to kick the tires on him and move on. Heupel’s job security and long term status here is more important than player.
I like we are a player with high profile guys, I am just lost on this guy. No spring practice, the recurring risk according to what I have seen on here with his particular injury, and the price tags floating around are factors. He does pass the eye test.I agree. Coming in the portal window, I was clear there were several QB options that were better than Joey.
I agree with your statement in general about Basilio. But this is what I do know, the Spyre/Vol Club people have expressed some concern, based on their conversations with GMac's representation, that signing a sure-fire starter at QB COULD lead him into the portal. Not that it is a done deal. But the concern is legitimate.Basilio is FOS 95% of the time; the less you listen to whatever drivel comes out of his mouth, the happier you will be
Totally contradicts what some people have adamantly have been posting... Numerous times I've read that GMAC and his camp is okay with sitting another year..I agree with your statement in general about Basilio. Agreed. The porthole is OPEN right now. We can sign after it closes. Players just can’t jump in. The more I watch the more I think our staff knows what we have monetarily and with new additions in the pool each day we are making sure we spend our payroll wisely.Even after some commits, the miserable can’t be stopped. We are in this more than people think.
