Can we talk about slaw? I grew up having cabbage, carrots, and mayo. I get tired of it, not sure what I could add to it.

"Jo Slaw" - cabbage, green bell pepper, sweet onion dressed with mayo, apple cider vinegar, Durkee Famous Sauce, salt & pepper to taste.

That's it? Thought you wanted to talk about it.

:)

Don't call me out like that! Today was a week at work (know what I mean?), and I am in the middle of making a cheesecake and deviled eggs for our family Christmas party tomorrow night. Making ham and swiss sliders tomorrow when I get home, they can't sit overnight. I wanted to acknowledge that I've seen the responses, but I'm not done discussing it. :)

It's gonna be hard tomorrow. Say a prayer for me and my family if you would. My brother works swing shifts, and has to cover lots of hours. Last year, we weren't able to all get together until January 16th, and mom went into the hospital on January 19th. We lost her on February 2nd. I know she was holding out until we could all have our family Christmas.

I know what you mean, I've been too busy to talk about it too. Not much left to discuss anyway. Haha. Was going to comment on Kev's salmon but got sidetracked.

Enjoy your family tomorrow night. That first Christmas after my mom passed was just me and Behr, and we made it. Prayer will be sent for strength, to you and your family.

Hman. I want to share a culinary tip, just for you. Publix Lime and cilantro Smoked chicken sausage with Monterey Jack cheese. Take one out of the package and wrap it in a papper towel. Microwave for 10 seconds. Spread some mayo on it, put it back in the package and throw it all in the garbage. Why even nuke it? It does smell good.

LMAO!!! I just made a snort noise when I read that.

I can't help but look at these pics as if they were being submitted for a Culinary magazine. With that in mind, I wish she had put the salmon dish on the red plate and put the chicken dish on the white plate. The runoff of the "sauces" would have been better accented. But they both still look awesome!

Hard to tell from pictures, but both chicken and salmon looked perfectly cooked. They weren't over cooked and dry for sure.

The adding of sesame seeds on the veggies instead of the chicken was a nice touch.

Teriyaki and Sriracha. Nuff said. I am curious if she makes her own Teriyaki or buys it. I like to make my own but most of the time, for home use, I'll buy a bottle and Doctor it up a bit.

I can't figure out what the herb on the chicken is. Several different ones would make sense, but it looks like none of those. Part of it could be the way it's chopped, it would lead me to guess its a small leaf herb. My guess is Savory or Marjoram. WTF is it? Haha.

Hope you don't mind my comments, it's fun to me. I look forward to your pictures of her dishes as much, if not more than the girl pics. Que 95.

Well dammit. Makes sense. The pieces at 9 , 10 and 3 o'clock don't look like green onion.

Well, I agree with Tin Man, when is dinner? My only request would be if we could come at separate times. :)
