With that said, I like Dales, I just wish it wasn't soooo salty.

You could soak a carrot in it overnight to draw some of the salt out, but evidently a lot of people don't mind it and must love it.

I quit buying Dale's because of the sodium (looking out for hubby). I use low sodium soy sauce, powdered ginger, powdered garlic, s&p, and a splash of worcestershire. It's close. I thrown in cayenne now and then.

Haha, mama always said never eat the carrot/tater in the beans cause we would have the worst gas pains ever :)

Ever ask her why?

got the info from Nielson, only slightly more reliable than the internet :eek:k:

:good!: I trust your info better than mine.

I know. I miss it in the winter especially. Just did a Google and found two place online. One is in Pigeon Forge and the other is in White House.

White House TN? That's where I was born and raised. I'm gonna check that out.

Sounds good. have you ever used pickled ginger?

Wow Sly. (I've said that twice tonight about a post of yours tonight), but thanks. I know those people and just sent them an e-mail. I will make some and send it to you if you would like, but if you don't want to wait.....try Sugarplum. Give'um some support.:hi:

Sugarplum Foods

I found this for an address...

120 Guill Ln, Cottontown, TN 37048

My phone number growing up was 672-**** which was a White house number, but my physical address was Cottontown.....I went to K, Elem, Jr, and HS at WH.

Anyway, nice fined....sorry to reminisce.

I'll probably order something from them. Still poking around their website now. Will call or email them tomorrow regarding shipping charges, etc. I'm thinking it's probably a good product just based on where they are.

That's where I drank my first beer, talked to Jesus, where I wrecked my first car I tore it all to pieces.

Can't help it.

I like the guy.

I guess all the Dallas fans wished for them to lose when Emmit was there.

Not to compare talents, just the school they attended, since that's where most of the hate is concentrated.

Anyway......

I'll share with anyone who likes peppers.

Slice about 8-10 Poivrons in nickle sized slices.
Pour about a half cup of olive oil over them.
Add about two pinches of sea salt
1 tsp of garlic powder
3 large cloves fresh garlic
3 slices of fresh mozzarella on top.
1 oz of fresh Parmesan diced in 1/2 squares.
Two twist of a pepper mill
1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper.

Marinate it for at least 8 hours then flip the container over. Let it sit like that for at least 4-5 hours.

eat them with a fork, toothpick or spoon. OR, put them on a sammich, steak, burger....whatever.

Poivrons are sweet, so if you want more heat, add Japs or Hungarian.
