Andy had a pretty funny Pat Summit story. He and I worked as waiters in Gibbs Hall (we got to eat there) and he also lifeguarded at the aquatic center.

Pat Head was the girls coach, but womens basketball was still in it's infancy in the mid 70s. Pat was teaching lifesaving at the pool (yes, she had to get paid to do SOMETHING when it wasn't basketball season). It was a full class, and one day she was going to demonstrate the Heimlich manuever and pointed to Andy to help her demonstrate.

He walked up to the front and she got behind him and put his arms around him. It happened suddenly. She performed the squeeze and he farted very loud.. He had to leave.

Next class she apologized to him.

We had a ball up there in LL, even in the first half.
