On a side note, I think Berry should challenge former Vols defensive tackle and History Channel series host Bill Duff for use of the “Human Weapon” name.
I’ve never covered a college defensive back who closes as quickly and forcefully as Berry, and I’ve seen him miss only one tackle this season. Unfortunately for the Vols, though, it cost them several yards one play before Auburn’s game-icing, third-and-5 conversion.
As surprised as I was to see Berry miss that tackle, I was infinitely more stunned to hear him say that coaches have graded his video at “about a B” this season.
Wow. What does an “A” look like? Ronnie Lott?
I guess defensive backs coach Larry Slade doesn’t grade on a curve.
