NO WAY. You mean UT has thin places on their roster. IMPOSSIBLE. It is Dooley's fault.

I hate to give ammunition to the anti dooley side but while this is a funny story I don't understand how an attention to detail coach doesn't have a backup kicker dressed. We all knew on Friday that Palardy was doubtful and it isn't like kicker injuries haven't been the norm around here lately. I am a Dooley supporter but this one doesn't add up on his side!

You do understand the backup K was hurt in warm-ups?
Palardy wasn't ruled out until a couple hours before the game either.

Wrong. Palardy was said be out or very doubtful on Friday. Plenty of time to get your backup kicker ready.

Yes. He was only one dressed. Should have had a backup plan

And we did. He pulled a muscle warming up right before the game

Not that I agree with that poster, but he's saying Rhome was the starter, not the back up. Brodus was the back up, and he was chillaxin in a frat house.

Hope I helped. :p

Couple = about 2

The guy we called was called about an hour before the damn game started - there is no problem like you're so desperately trying to conceive.

Palardy was known to be very questionable on Friday. The staff should have planned for that.

I'm under the impression that Dooley thought Palardy may have been able to kick. The fact that that poster is trying to say that what happened is a problem is really pissing me off - this team has problems, but that ain't one of em.

Pay attention to what he said: Dooley knew he was starting the backup and there was not a backup if he(Rhome) got hurt, and he did get hurt! Dooley or somebody should have called Brodus long before 50 minutes prior to kickoff in case something happened.

What happens if Rhome gets injured during the game and we needed a kicker....ill prepared IMHO. But hey, everybody loves Dooley and he is going to take us back to the top of the SEC:good!:

I am big supporter of Dooley. Just think he didn't pay attention to detail on this one. Not a big deal in my assessment of DD!

He did, I'm almost positive in the post-game presser Dooley said Palardy got hurt Thursday, but thought he was going to be ready to go.

This. And he also thought Darr would be able to do it, but found out that he wouldn't get the job done.

People ***** about everything on this site.

Then the only thing I see that could be considered a problem is the downtime between Palardy being ruled out and Brodus being called. I just don't get where that guy is coming from.

I like the way Broadus stepped up and was ready to accept his blessings and opportunity he was presented with. I say we continue with him at kicker. That was a lot of pressure on him to perform and he did. Palardy isn't reliable. Let's see what the kid can really do. A success story.
