Really. That is news to me. I thought that Berry was battling Gaines for the second spot.

Me too. The coaches have described Johnson as "lockdown" and "lights out" for a while now. I thought he would be the #1 cb with out a doubt.

if you listen to the dave hooker podcast where he interviews Slade he speaks very highly of Gaines, a lot moreso than Johnson.

That's what I thought. If he plays like that consistently, I can see why he will have a starting position.
