Fulmer talks about potential day one Volunteers...

Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer knows by now to not believe the annual NFL draft hype until he sees it.
"I've almost quit trying to speculate what they might do," Fulmer said.
So when Fulmer says he expects five phone calls from excited former players Saturday, it's not a random guess.
Receiver Robert Meachem, defensive lineman Justin Harrell, offensive lineman Arron Sears, defensive lineman Turk McBride and cornerback Jonathan Wade should go in the draft's first three rounds, according to what Fulmer has heard from NFL insiders.
Meachem, who broke the UT season record for receiving yards in 2006 as a junior, is likely to be the highest selection of the group. The latest mock draft by ESPN had him being taken at No. 22 by the Dallas Cowboys.
"Some people say I'm the No. 2 receiver, and then some people say it's a toss-up," Meachem said. "So right now, I don't know, but I know it's first round."
Harrell would have been a first-round lock had he not torn a biceps tendon during the second game of his senior season. After a gritty showing against Florida, Harrell underwent season-ending surgery.
Fulmer shrugs off injury concerns about Harrell by stating, "He'll play a long time."
Sears is being tagged as a center or guard in the NFL despite being named the Southeastern Conference's top blocker in 2006 as Tennessee's left tackle. The Vols used Sears at guard before last season.
To snag Sears in the second round would be a steal to UT offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe.
"He may be the most talented that I've been around," Cutcliffe said. "Loves the game, loves to compete, loves to practice, plays fast, very fast. He's a big, explosive youngster where the teammates named him 'Big Freak.'
"He's freakish as an athlete. There's no doubt about that."
McBride's stock has been hurt by his 6-2, 277-pound frame, which is seen as too small for defensive tackle, while he may not be quick enough the play defensive end in the NFL. He's still perceived to be a solid first-day selection.
Wade is the ninth-best cornerback on ESPN's board, mainly because of his speed as a former track star.
"I'm hoping everything goes well," Wade said. "Tennessee is always expecting to have a good draft class, but you never know how it's going to turn out."
Sunday's final four rounds are a toss-up from Tennessee's perspective. Any of nearly a dozen potential choices could be taken, although Fulmer wouldn't be surprised if linebacker Marvin Mitchell's name was called earlier than expected.
In fact, Fulmer has said Mitchell could be a first-day selection, which goes against his ratings on nearly every draft projection.
"He didn't run quite as well as I think some of them might have hoped that he would, but he's a 247-pound linebacker," Fulmer said of Mitchell. "I think he's lying right under the radar right now. I think he'll get a chance. Some people are really excited about him."
