Article:Coleman Interview

I'm sorry, but to say coaching experience has no relevance when critiquing qb play makes you the loon sir.

You're serious. I can tell.

Let me help you out. "Sounds" aren't audibles. He's not the next Peyton. <rolls eyes> Jim Bob had a Southern, hick-type name. B. J.?

Any questions on that one?

You can't be serious, and I really hope your post was done jokingly.

Another newbie with a pair of internet cajones.

You've been on Volnation for 2 months...Not exactly a seasoned veteran yourself...

Not trying to say anything, but you putting down someone because of their beliefs on the basis that they are new is like calling your brother's Mom a slut.

Coleman was offered by Alabama and nc state if I'm not mistaken. Orangenuts is probably a mccallie grad who played second fiddle to bj and got his sloppy seconds.

hey volger, this is totally off the subject and random, but I'm curious as to where and why you have that picture of Tennessee and Mizzou helmets on your messages. I know it is a strange question, but I thought maybe you are a fan of both. I am a huge fan of both because I went to mizzou and transferred to UT to finish school and I don't know anyone in Tennessee that follows both.

be careful what you say about McCallie. I said something about them on here once in passing, and some guy ripped my ass.

Please be kind to him. I see by his avatar(or lack of) his owner took him to the Vet yesterday.:whistling:

You obviously didn't see what all he was writing before being blocked.

I haven't been posting long...but my first day I was signed up I didn't curse people or try to get in fights with people....

That's the reason I said what I did...there was many posts that clown had that have since been removed.

Wow, all over the place on this thread. How does anyone really know how good BJC is? He played what, 12 plays all season? All I know is that when he went in the ball started to move. He threw the pick and it ended the drive but I thought he looked better under center than JC and NS.

I guess we will see in September.

I think it is obvious by now that PF was not big on discipline. Cutt leaves and the whole program goes to hell? Cutt was the one that should have had the big salary.

I love this quote!

“These coaches know we’ve got a very short amount of time to get things going in the right direction. They’re hammering us already, and you better realize that you’re either ready to roll with whatever they ask or move on. The discipline and the attitude are things that got forgotten last year. Those are things you need to win in this league, and you have to work if you expect to enjoy the benefits of playing football at a place like this.”

The quotes just keep better as you read!!

“The new rules are things that always should have been there, in my opinion,” Coleman said. “It’s those type things you can take into the real world, and they also help form leaders. We have real genuine leadership now, and you’ll see the difference come game time.”

Sounds like we might actually see a "TEAM" come September...I sure hope so because that is something we have not seen in a while...Good players yes but yet to see actual team players...This was a great read...Bring on football season!

This is a very telling interview.
It proves to me that my beliefs on Fulmer were true and that he never had the special touch at all to run the best program in the country.

MCCallie is what it is. My grandson attended school with BJ and played several sports with him from middle to High School.... The main thing you get from McCallie is decision making and leadership skills from day one. The school literally walks these kids through a process which enables them to grow and apply these skills through the course of their lives. BJ is an above average athelete but has exceptional decision making and analytical skills. You can tell by the way he laid the program on the line and the transition taking place over the last several months. Very well said and worth taking it to the bank.
