Arthroscopic Surgery-Shoulder

I just found out that I am going to have surgery on my shoulder - does anyone have any eperience with this type of surgery??? They said that they want to go in to repair/clean up some tears.

I had scope surgery on my knee because of an injury, and it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Did they just scope it o and clean it up or did they repair anything??

I am not real worried about the actual scope just the after effects.
