Arrogant? Monte Kiffin says son is just ‘confident'

It was Eddie Gran...not Ed(die) Orgeron....geez...if you're going to put in a (clarification here) set of parentheses, maybe you should make sure you get it right. Just another example of how far off base the KNS staff is with regard to UT football these days.

The best piece I've seen in a while was Griff's blog on the 3-pt. contest with the assistant coach from Iowa and Hopson/Woolridge...props for that, at least.

Maybe he should model some of his behavior after Carroll as well, I don't see Carroll calling out other coaches

All of these things are going to pass. He is young, excited, and confident. He just let some things slip out that were a little imprudent. You can already see him being more careful with what he says. Once we get to actually playing the games noone will even remember this stuff (except maybe UM).

Kiffin has brought a swagger that UT has been missing. His swag has already grow into the players. Hell he ever got me excited about beating Florida this coming season. I hope we win alot of games. We needed this change Phil was losing the players.

The media is making way too much of all these things that Kiffin says. He just likes to stir things up a little---no big deal. There will be a lot of crow to eat when Lane and Monte start dominating the SEC in a couple of years, when the stock the roster with real talent.

Phil was not arrogant enough and now Kiffin is to arrogant. These sports writers are a joke. They themselves wanted Fulmer gone. Adams even wrote it! Now they want Kiffin's head and he has not coached a game. Maybe we should have turned the coaching search over to the KNS staff writers. Everyone knows that the talking/writing heads are the experts in every field.

In all honesty, I don't whether Kiffin is arrogant, confident, or anything else. So far, I have been very impressed with him and feel like he has done a really good job. If he has the guys producing on the field this fall, I don't care how others see him. Keep up the good work coach.

He could of been referring to the recruitment of Teague, which I think was Orgeron, wasn't it?

I think Lane is doing the same thing Saban did when he turned up at bammer. Trying to draw media attention to himself to promote the school. Of couse when I was young pup we were part of the 'Fake Wresling' south. Good guy, bad guy routine. We're the bad guy, were going to steal the championship belt away from bammer and the gators. 'We'll hit you with a chair' from outside the rink. Go Vols!!!

Oh yeah. I remember about them trying to draw attention to that sport maybe becoming a NCAA sport in the SEC. Then all we would have to do is create Women's mud wrestling and we would be right up there with the rest of the wild hogs on rocky top. Course, I maybe one.

If that is cross dressing, it's the most successful case I've ever seen.... :eek:lol:

Lane Kiffin praised one guy following NSD with regard to the former Florida commits...and that was Eddie Gran. I find it highly unlikely that Monte would refer to ED Orgeron as EDDIE AND considering the fact that EDDIE Gran had already been recognized as the guy who was working his butt off in Florida. You're right...I could be wrong on this...but there could also be life on Jupiter.
