Arrest comparison
Here's how Florida football arrests (24 from 2005-2009) during the Urban Meyer compare with rival schools:
-- Georgia, 30 arrests
-- Tennessee, 19 arrests
-- Florida State, 13 arrests
-- Miami, 2 arrests
I seriously doubt that last argument....if anything it would be the other way around. There are intangibles in the equation. How lenient the campus / city police are on players. How good the coaching staff is at talking their way out of offenses for their kids.
I imagine Athens PD and Miami PD have different levels at which offenses matter. I think Miami players have more chances at getting away with something such as drunk driving than some player in Athens.

Don't tell that to all of the sunbelt teams that you never hear about...Agreed. GA football is many, many, many times more important to the economy of Athens than Miami football (college, anyways) is to Miami.
Interesting data, of course my thought is, if you're gonna be known as Thug U, at least win some championships. South Carolina sends kids to prison, yet they don't win squat.

Most citys with a football team get the rap as being hard on team players. I don't know if its true or not. But like Al. football if the did not cheat no one could turn them in. If you are not out doing things, you can not get picked up by the cop.
