Arkansas has lost 4 coaches so far. Dooley has lost five (but has already hired one).

So both coaches are looking for 4 new assistants

I wonder if Arkie fans are posting about how no one wants to work for their coach, and how the sky is falling, the the negavols around here?

Woe is us!

I don't know, didn't everyone lose their coaches to lateral moves? Turnover happens all the time with good teams and sinking teams. All the ones we lost were to lateral moves. That's a bad sign IMO. I don't think it's fair, but I believe Hart is passing a good opportunity to get rid of Dooley.

I don't know if they are freaking out or not. I doubt they are, but there is a simple reason for it.

1. They are used to mediocrity.
2. They finished in the top 5.

How is that comparable to our situation? It's not.

you left out the part where you wonder if they go out and hire a head coach with a losing record and then have back to back losing seasons gradually getting worse each year. plus you didnt say if the coaches were fired from arky or if they left on their own free will like the ones here. hmm other than that you were very accurate in your reporting.:hi:

For the negavols it should be comparable, since they say that losing 5 coaches proves Dooley is incompetent. I'm using THEIR logic, not my own.

Turnover happens all the time

gee, ya think?

Hart is passing a good opportunity to get rid of Dooley.

Dooley is gonna be here a long, long time. You might as well get used to it.

Sky isnt falling in Knoxville. It fell...I guess somewhere over Alabama. Now it's time to get back to business. After the announcement it's all about closing this class STRONG. The worst is over.

Losing coaches isn't comparable?

We've hired two coaches.

Other than that you are spot on, changes happen every year at just about every program...We had Phil for so long and nobody wanted his coaches except for Cut and Chief. Cut went to Ole Miss and Duke. So the Volnation don't know how to handle this kid of thing.

Why would Hart give Graham a 3 year contract? It has also been said that whoever becomes the next DC will be given a 3 year contract. Sounds to me that Hart is supporting DD on his hires and length of contracts.

sounds to me like we are screwed...i guess if you are comfortable with a new bama ad giving a ga homer free reigns of the program after the implosion that has happened at ut in the last 2 years and last month then more power to you. im not as happy with it myself. of course the logical explanation is nobody wants to touch our program with a 10 foot pole so the only way they can beg coaches to stay/come is to promise 3 years. he could promise 10 years as long as there was a clause saying they could be fired if they produce a losing season (again).

First of all I thought Hart was TN AD, Bama was not the only school Hart has been associated with (FSU) Dickey was our coach and AD and he went to Florida and played there, left, came here and coached, left and went back to Florida as HC then returned as our AD.

DD went to Virginia, his dad is the GA homer.

No coach in their right mind would accept a job where there is a 1 year contract. You can either swallow your pride and support the team or you can whine, choice is up to you. One thing I learned when Majors came and started his rebuild is patience is required.

While I understand your logic, graham got a 3 deal because he will be here no matter what happens to dooley. And these contracts hart is cutting don't have epic buyouts so it wont be hard for the next coach to clean house. And where do some of you get that dooley will be here for a long long time? He is on the hottest seat in the country next year, we start out bad in our first 6 games there will be hardly anyone in neyland ticket sales will be down. No ticket sales= no support, no support= no profit for the university, no profit= dooley canned

I have never stated DD will be here a long time, just like I have never claimed to be a supporter nor a basher. The 3 year contracts that Hart is giving out shows stability and a vote of confidence for recruits after all the negative internet posts from all websites. I hated Fulmer with a passion and still do but I supported the cause. You can either be a fan and show support and stop being a negative Nancy but either way the coaching will work its way out one way or another.

Then you might as well get use to mediocrity. Arky lost theirs because they were successful. We lost ours because we don't have a captain at the helm of the ship.

No, we lost Wilcox because of our defensive success. They didn't hire him because he failed.

I agree. Seems the worst is behind us. I actually feel good about our situation.

Notice that the coaches who left, all went on to other good programs? All went to be closer to their geographic homes. We have a bunch of young girls who are wetting their pants and bellyaching just to bellyache. They want instant gratification and do not realize that this program in a rebuilding process and that there will be bums along the way that you can not allow to distract you in order to get back on the road.
