Your thinking isn't very nuanced. The point is they look improved over last year. That is a sign of coaching.
Help me figure this out... UT had the second most experienced roster in the conference coming into the season, yet looks like the worst team in the SEC right now. How do you justify that? What reason do we have to believe Pruitt can get it done?

The year we beat Florida and Georgia back to back with Butch it was in great part to Dobbs...making something out of nothing. Using his legs. I see Ole Miss with this Rhys-Plumlee running for 1st downs and making things happen. JG does NONE of that. You guys don't realize just how gawd awful JG is. That pick in the end zone was totally on him. He rifles a friggin 100 mile lazer from 3 yards away. Jerry Rice doesn't catch that....but JG does that ALL THE TIME. He has ZERO touch....can't run to save his life and misses wide open receivers. He's terrible...and he's killing us. He and Beldar together is a horrible combination.

They are now 2-3 with losses to Ole Miss (by 14 points), San Jose State and Texas A&M. They have beaten Portland State and Colorado State. I thought they played much better today, but they have no chance of making a bowl game this year. Whatever improvement there has been, is relatively modest.

We really ought not compare scores, it’s not a good barometer, we know we are bad tough to tell if we are the worst at this point , however every single week we have to look at it as the National Title and try and pick up as many wins as we can, if we had brought the same energy to the Ga state game as we did to BYU we prol aren’t having a we’re the worst convo, and if we beat GA state maybe with a little confidence we hold off BYU and once you can win it breeds more winning , we have to get used to winning again no matter who it is
