I wasn't sure if anyone had seen this video of an Iowa fan being assaulted and verbally abused by several Arizona fans prior to last weeks game in Tucson. I don't know if I would've had the restraint that the Iowa fan does here. It really is unbelievable how pathetic these people are.

If you are at all offended by vulgar language and racial slurs, then I would suggest not clicking the link.

funny. ASU used to have the rep as the horrible fanbase. Zona used to be a completely dead stadium.

They've definitely traded places. I always hear stories like this from Tempe, Tucson and Seattle, though.

it happens everywhere. i got some not so nice treatment when i went to the tenn/cal game. others kept talking about how classy you guys were. i just take it as something given if you go to a road game.

That's unfortunate that you were treated that way in Knoxville. I understand that it happens everywhere, I certainly hope you weren't treated anywhere near the level of the Iowa fans.

The worst time I ever had was at Auburn. They were brutal.

worst fan bahavior i've ever seen was at the cal/ucla game in 07. cursing at me when you are holding your 3 year old daughters hand is a new one for me. also had another fan pour a beer in my car because i was a cal fan.

If it's the last game or two of the season and Zona is in contention for the Pac-10 title, they'll fill the stands. Otherwise, they don't really care that much.

For what it's worth, I have seen that sort of behavior out of every fan base I have ever encountered, on both the college and professional level. I used to see it out of Tennessee fans on a weekly basis.

Stay classy.

Still I've heard stories about fans traveling to LSU games...

Maybe now Iowa won't think that they deserve a shot at the Nat'l title, like they did last year.

The same thing happens at Iowa. I heard many stories from the Iowa/ISU game earlier this year at Kinnick. My friend who is a fan of Iowa, but goes to ISU, had beer thrown into her car because she had an "Iowa State University" decal in the back window but was wearing an Iowa jersey. It was after the game, too, which only makes it worse. She's been an Iowa fan her entire life but she's now reconsidering it after her treatment.

Man, I've never seen people go that far making an ass of themselves at a football game before. Guess I'm just lucky. Although I almost pushed a drunkass Vol fan down the steps in the nosebleed at Neyland because he fell on the elderly gentleman sitting in front of me that happened to be a very nice Auburn fan and commenced to cuss him out. Only thing that saved him was a couple of teenagers coming up the steps behind him about 15 rows down (would've been a bowling ball effect).

It's a lot more rare at Tennessee than most other big time schools

I'd say you're a bit biased there, and I'd say I've seen a fair amount at Neyland from some really idiot Vol fans. One guy's behavior after the UT/LSU game in 2006 was teh worst behavior I've ever seen out of a fan anywhere.

What a bunch of racists. After looking at them, I have no idea why they'd talk crap in the first place.

Both of the girls talking crap were fat ugly pigs.

The guy that slapped the camera looked like a real girly-man. The girls looked more manly than he did. You can tell he is a giant pu**y that would never assault someone without a crowd of people on his side.

The guy talking about man goo in the face looked like he had been hit with a brick in the face.

All in all... a bunch ugly people and dudes waving pom poms. Glad I've never been to Arizona.
