Arian the Great!!! He does it again...

That DB laying off thing was ridiculously evident during the BAMA game. Just goes to show our coaching staff's lack of making adjustments. And tonight, they never learned to cover McKinley until he went out hurt.

Nope you are wrong, all except the Arky State game. He doesn't run strong IMO. Hardesty runs much stronger. I don't give a crap about his YPC. Hardesty would have just as many if not more if he were getting the same carries.

Foster tries to run too much East West instead of North South. He's big and strong and too slow to make the corner, so he ends up out of bounds instead of turning up field and running over a 175lbs DB.

Foster isn't that great IMO.
Didn't Hardesty come in and re-injure his ankle tonight?

That's a huge assumption. Just a season ago everyone said that Hardesty sucks, and Coker is a demigod. Hardesty has had some good runs lately, but if he were appreciably better than Foster he'd be getting more carries. Fulmer knows his job is in jeopardy. He's going to play the guys that will get him wins.

Heck, he doesn't even know where Hardesty is or why he wasn't in. I can't believe he's competent enough to play all of our best players. :)

Tacoma, you really couldn't be more wrong about arian Foster. Foster has great vision and has proven that he is our best back this year. If he had some speed, he would be right up there with McFadden and Jones. He turns 2 yarders into 10 yarders and two yard losses into 3 yard gains. As for the fumble, it was very untimely but we did get it back so no harm done. I too was down on Foster before this season but have seen the light as i have watched him run brilliantly all season. hardesty is clearly our second best back and should be in when Foster is not playing. Coker should never get in before Hardesty and seems to have lost some speed this year. the only time he gets yards is if he busts through between the tackles and has open space. He has trouble seeing blockers and holes and can't seem to ever get outside. If foster was as fast as Coker, he'd be the best back we've had in quite sometime.

Had we scored in the second half, this thread isn't started.

But we didn't, so it turns out to be another choke job by Foster. Only this time he got lucky.

Had Robert Meachem not gone pro, had Inky Johnson not got severely injured, had Demetrice Morley gone to class....

If we had given Foster more carries, I think he would have carried us to a more comfortable victory. I also think he would have been able to make the Bama game a little less embarrassing.

I really dont care who carries the ball at this point, as long as we effin run the ball. We suck at the passing game and need to get over it. If we run the ball, the passing game will open up.

I believe that's correct. After the TD, he didn't come back in that I saw.

I saw them wrapping his ankle on the sideline. Someone beside me said they saw him throw his helmet down. He was thinking it was because the trainer wouldn't clear him to go back in.

This has angered me all year. When we have corners who are at least 6 feet tall and around 200 lbs then USE THEM!!!

Why our coaches don't tell those big corners (Vinson and Willingham) to get up there and smash the hell out of that receiver as soon as the ball is snapped is beyond me. They both have the speed to go stride for stride with anyone in the SEC if they let the receiver get by them a little.

There is nothing worse than seeing our corners laying 10 - 15 yards off the LOS when its third and 5.

Yep, that's certainly frustrating. What is the point of that? Are we willing to give up the first down in order to avoide the big play? Is Chavis calling this because our secondary is such a mess and he has no faith?

I don't see what it would hurt playing up closer. I mean if they beat us deep a couple of times, whats the difference in that or giving dj hall 180 yards of pass receptions. I don't get it.

Foster has been a big part of the offense all year. My stomach sank when he fumbled but don't throw him under the bus after all the good things he has done this year. Everybody on this board has been awed by his performance and then this thread after a fumble (that was recovered by UT)??????

Yeah...I agree. If he ran well in traffic...could hold onto the ball in crucial situations...and had any speed...he would be a great back.
