Just thought I'd share this interesting news about Arian. Apparently he has been turning heads at camp with the Texans.

The News
According to the Houston Chronicle, undrafted rookie Arian Foster is drawing high praise from the coaching staff and could make an impact this season.

Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan stated that Foster "is what you want in this system. He doesn't mess around." He's quickly become a favorite of the coaching staff and could be a nice compliment to starter Steve Slaton if he continues to impress.

This is good, second blurb about him shining. I know its early in camp but it looks like he is well on his way to earning a spot on the roster! Go Vols!

I heard he hurt his hamstring, and they have brought in other backs to look at.

Lets just wish a member of the football alumni the best of luck. It makes us look that much better if we can say we have another player in the NFL.

This is tongue in cheek, right?

Foster impressing: As the battle for carries behind starting running back Steve Slaton continues during camp, Kubiak has taken notice of undrafted free agent Arian Foster.

"It's very early, but it's obvious – he's impressive," Kubiak said. "He's kind of what you look for. He's a downhill runner, no nonsense. He's got a big body. Reminds me of Chris Brown when he came out of college a few years ago.

"So we'll see, but I think we knew we were getting a talented young man. As long as we have everyone else in line and he's being a pro and taking care of his business, he's got an excellent chance to help the team."

Foster ran for 1,193 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior at Tennessee. He ranks second in Tennessee history with 2,394 career rushing yards and first with 650 rushing attempts.

Arian appears to be holding his own in Texas...

I wish AF nothing but the best as I do all VOLS, past present and future...and that goes for coaches, all have done more for UT than 98% of us fans. I also liked AF's mothers posts.

GO VOLS

I said awhile back that I believes he makes the roster. He is a quality back.

I have always said that AF will have an impact in the NFL. I thought he would have gotten drafted, but what do I know.

I think his senior season, and attitude cost him a draft spot. I still think he's a great ball player.

He'll have to stop tip-toeing at the line of scrimmage and be more physical if he's going to make an impact.

Hmmm... not sure if I think he'll make an impact in the NFL. I think he'll make the roster, but will be a career backup much like Ainge.

I hope AF does well. Remember, he was productive his first 3 years as a Vol, then came the Clawfense.
