The devil is always in the details...

Regular season wins against teams with > .500 record
2018: 4 (12)
2019: 4 (10)
2020: 1 (6)

A Mazda Miata looks fast next to a Toyota Corolla.

We'll see what he can do with some upgraded talent against upgraded competition in the SEC.
We know what we have not been able to do in the last 15 years and that is score enough points to win 10 games.

Heupel is actually the better of the Offensive mind, go back and watch each time they’ve played each other. Not did he just get the wins, but his O outperformed Kiffin.

Bet this one time they will find exceptions to the NUMBERS DON"T LIE and YOU ARE WHAT YOUR RECORD SAYS YOU ARE maxims and reply with crickets.

Forget elite, we are far from that. How about winning some games and keeping the losses respectable. Build a fun, high scoring team, reel in some playmakers, win 10, then talk about another step. We haven’t won or even been fun to watch since, when? Too long.
Sounds like 2012 to me. Not fun watching the defense give up 500 yds and everyone blame Bray after throwing for 400 yds

If I was a high recruiting prospect for the upcoming year, the # 1 thing on my list would be to play for a team that's under significant sanctions.

If you were a high recruiting prospect you'd probably look for campuses with Krystal/White Castle nearby.

If you were a normal prospect you'd probably look at playing time, NFL opportunities and girls. We have plenty of 1 and 3. We need more 2.

about Hoople's recruiting prowess. If he can put up the same kind of points as he has in the past, stud WRs and QBs are going to come here in droves. Today.s game is made for high flying offenses. The key is getting a defense that gets the ball back to the offense.
Can people at least spell and say his name correctly?

Heupel. Sounds like Hi-Pull

His offense as Missouri OC embarrassed our defense. The SEC is not new to Heupel. He put points on the board against SEC defenses. His record should attract good players.

And he did this when defense was still considered the key to winning championships.

He was at a school that gets leftovers just like Cinn and Memphis and Tulsa Houston. It is a league you really have to coach because you do not get the top 300 players. So when you have 10 opt outs before the season you are well into the roster. Now he is at Tennessee were we always sign plenty of top 300 players. No we have not been in top 5 in recruiting in a while but always top 15 maybe 20 spot. So relax the talent will come over time plenty of it . In CHRIST Alone.

I hope he brings in the best defensive staff money can by. I'm so sick of the defense not being able to cover a slant, or letting teams run all over us. I may be wrong here but we also seem to be slow to react at times, no energy on D. Sorry, I'm old and want to see my Vol's kick'in a** again!

I now find myself watching UCF full games on YouTube skipping through the offensive series to take-in the full effect of the coaching change, and style. The offense is high octane, you cant tell me your not giddy to see that on Saturday on the big screen or if your lucky at Neyland ;D.
Those. are. AAC. Defenses.

Top 15 with proper development and good coaching can win 8-10 games a year. TN fans should be good with that for a while considering we haven't going 5-7 the past 12yrs

Baby steps. Let’s beat every other team on the schedule, which has been enough of a challenge.
Ahhhhhh yes... here is this 'patience' thing again. We will walk 20 feet, and the rest of the SEC will have run from California to New York. When does this end?

If he loses a cupcake game, he should be run out on a rail. He and Big Dan both.

No pressure.

And. Those. Are. AAC. Level. Players. On. Offense. TOO
We'll see if he can repeat that here. Hopefully we have a lot of moral victories in years 1-3.

I'm willing to give the guy a chance. (Like I have any choice). I just don't think the 'success' ya'll seem to think he had at UCF means bupkus here.
