Are your expectations being met?

Your posts always meet my expectations. (in a good way of course.) But really I dont know how you could realistically expect much better than you are getting from this staff and team.

I would probably be more satisfied with wins over UCLA and Aubran - but with they way our guys have played against UF and Bama and the way they have continued to improve and play with heart...yeah, i'm satisfied.

I'd say mine have.

Exactly what I was looking for this year. And as a result, the wins will come. :dance2:

More than I could have hoped for. This staff is doing something special with this program. Recruiting, team unity, running offensinve plays we've never seen in Knoxville before. I am more than happy, I would say stoked!!

I am pleased...still believe we should of had W's against UCLA and Auburn, but we are steamrolling in the right direction and significantly above all realistic expectations. GO VOLS!!

I still think we reach the 7 wins I wanted before the season started. The team is also improving week to week and that is something we haven't seen in years. Still should have beat UCLA and AU but it happens and I truly don't believe we lose those games in the future.

A win over bama would have made the season though :cray:

I expected wins against AU and UCLA...didn't expect one against UGA. Overall, the coaching staff and the heart and toughness of the team has exceeded my expectations.

So far so good I say. Would like to have a few more wins but that's football. I think I'll wait until the end of the season to determine. I think everyone will be happy with 8-4 and a bowl win. 6-6 definately won't do it for me and 7-5 may not either.

At least the team seems to be enjoying themselves despite their losing record. Appears to be translating to better play and more effort. That's more than can be said about last year.

There's no reason on this planet we should've lost to Alabama. Just one of those 3 missed FG's and its a major upset in Tooscasulcers or however you spell it. :D
We're playing our rivals like we haven't played them in a long time...its about time!

Western Kentucky- Far exceeded
UCLA- not even close to being met
Florida- exceeded
Auburn- didn't meet expectations
Georgia- Far exceeded
Alabama- Far exceeded (especially if we made at least 1 of those field goals that were blocked)

Resounding yes. We are seeing things on the field that we haven't seen in a long time, and that's improvement from game to game. We have been IN every game and our players never give up. They fight just as hard at the end as they do in the beginning. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this program. GO VOLS!

I think we are well ahead of where we should be. Kiffin has brought this team together and has then playing D-1 football, a feat almost noone thought possible until only Kiffin's guys were here..

We should have had W's against UCLA and Auburn but I beleive those losses helped in bringing this team together. They realized they had to unite or fail..

I'm very pleased with the way we are playing.. even if we are 3-4

absolutely

I have no doubt we are heading in the right direction.

It will show when the team comes out and plays inspired football this weekend. In years past this would be a let down game after last week. I don't see that happening with this new attitude. Just another building block.

With even "below average" QB play, the game plan they used would've beat UCLA. The staff didn't have the QB figured out until two games later. I'm just thankful they eventually figured it out.

The Alabama game was a heartbreaker, and it's hard to digest losses against UCLA and Auburn given how we've played lately, but as others have mentioned, the improvement we're seeing is the most important thing. The fact that we were even in a position to stick it to the Bammers says a lot about the progress of the team.

I like what I'm seeing so far. The losses are just as painful as ever, but we all knew there would be plenty of growing pains. At this point, I'd say my expectations have certainly been met.

I forgot to mention the whole team feeling. This is a TEAM not a collection of prima donnas. It think two of the greatest moments of the season were not plays but the players spirit and togetherness. One was after the Crompton to Jones 50+ yarder in the the UGA game the players huddling and jumping together on the sideline. The other was during the Bama game after the Ingram fumble (I think that's when it was) and essentially the same thing happened. On Saturdays, I may not know if we are going to when (I always like to think we are), but I am damn sure we are going to win or lose playing as a team.

Yes! The record is about where I thought it would be. Given the mess fulmer left the program, I thought (and posted as much) that improvement each week and close games against rivals would be an unqualified success. My surprises this season would be the loss to UCLA and the win over Georgia.

I thought we'd beat UCLA and Auburn, but other than that my expectations have been met. We beat Georgia like a red-headed stepchild, and played Alabama and Florida closer than anyone thought. I'd say Tennessee football is on the up-and-up.

When we lose to two #1 teams by a combined total of 12 points with a roster of "almost players".... yes, I am very satisfied.

I'd say that other than the UCLA and Auburn games, I've been fairly happy with the way things have gone. This staff is certainly turning this program around and has it headed in the right direction. I definately wouldn't have predicted that we would be in the UF and Bama games the way we were. The way this staff is recruiting and the caliber of players that they are bringing in has me very satisfied with this season. Keep it up guys. Go Vols!

I really wasn't looking for a certain record this year. I wanted to see improvement (not just over last year, but from game to game), being competitive with our rivals and strong recruiting.

So far they have met, and even exceeded, my expectations.

ehh. I expected 9 wins and that is not gonna happen. Thus far, two bad loses to UCLA and AU. One good win against UGA. Another loss and this season is a disappointment on whole.
