Are you guys letting Currie know who you want?

If volnation raised heck and got Currie to call off the Schiano deal, why cant we influence him to hire the coach we want? Call, tweet, email, and text him to tell him the coach you want. It is already clear that he will botch this if we dont. I personally contacted him via twitter and email and told him I want Lane Kiffin. What about you?

Currie doesn't give a sh!t who the fans want.

One other thing, I'm proud VolNation rose up but you're kidding yourself if you think the fans stopped the shamoo deal. Pissed off boosters and their powerful friends killed that deal.. Of course the fans get the blame because "Crazy, Unhinged Fans" is a better story for the pathetic, lazy arse media...

I'm concerned that if everyone starts contacting Currie that someone will tell him where the sun goes at night.

Here's the thing,

a) We shouldn't have to. It's not our jobs. It's sets a bad precedent what we did on Sunday. The AD at a major university should be able to, with or without the use of a search firm, come up with candidates that fit our university standards. Plus it was mostly because the government stepped in more than it was because of our social media outcry.

b.) Have you read the board? We want no less than 1,538 different coaches depending on who you ask, the time of day, the temperature, or whether or not we've had breakfast or not.

Wrong decision maker.
Write to Jimmy Haslam.
He makes the sports decisions at UT.

Currie and Davenport are Judases. Should have been fired sunday night.
They are part of the cancer in the ad.

They are only symptoms.
The cancer is the Haslams.
Bill is the head of the BOT and his brother Jimmy provides the cash and makes the hires.

:clapping:The thing that could make this happen is a mass protest on campus by the students on both Currie and Davenport.:hi:

This, this, this....

Currie will hire exactly whoever Haslam tells him to hire.. I would not be surprised the only 'smoke screen' we've seen to date is the run at Gundy.

NOTHING will change until their influence is removed.

I'm so fed up with our garbage AD the Haslams can sit in that stadium by their damn selves on Saturday and watch them play..

The one and only reason that the fanbase blocked the hire of Schiano was the Penn State connection. If that had not been the case we wouldn't even be arguing about anyone right now because we would already have him as the HC. That being said from a football perspective I am glad that he wasn't hire, but please don't expect that to happen again. The next coach will either be extremely popular with the fanbase (Kiffin, but its not happening) or squeaky clean so the fanbase cannot stomp out the deal (Morris or Steele, likely one of these 2 IMO).

NOT TRUE! there are many of us that didnt like his coaching.

Consumers aren't like shareholders

The only reason why Schiano wasn't hired is because politicians and other boosters got involved

Its not because 100 people protested in front of Neyland or a few Vol fans tweeted

You are exaggerating your own self-worth

Who was calling their politicians to let them know? The no self-worth fans who's worthless butts are in those 102,000 seats in Neyland on game days.

Wish someone would tell this to the sports media hacks blaming our fan base

Yes. I wrote to Currie after the news of "the Schiano mess" broke. In the manner I would want to be addressed, I conveyed to him my hopes and desires for the football program and suggested a course of action. I've no idea if my correspondence will be read, even by a staffer, but I sent it all the same.

...and you are an expert, how?

Do you want fans who cannot even tell you what defensive technique a team is showing on the field or what position “Star” is or their role, you want those fans thinking they know enough to hire a good COACH? Not saying some fans don’t know, as some obviously do, but most aren’t experts making multi million dollar decisions worthy.
