Why would anyone think Trooper would be a good coordinator? That role would be about 180 degrees from what he currently does.

not to mention troop did that wit a mediocre WR not a Early Doucet oe Meahcem recievier....but some of that success goes to Ainge for makin him look better then he was beleive it or not...not takin nothin away from Lucas

I think we should wait to see who the new OC will be before addressing this question.

YES, we are screwed. The UT football program hinged on a coach whose best offer was from Duke.

I dont hink we are, but I guess depends on how much you feel our success was due to Cutcliffe. I was sorta disappointed when we re-hired him, though I would agree he did a decent job, sometimes. Hard to argue that "look what he did with Peyton and Eli", Im pretty sure they would have done just fine with whoever. I think we have the opportunity to really move our offense forward, and we dont have to change what is "Tennessee Football" by doing that, but someone with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. Just my opinion. Like everyone else, I love Troop's fire, but it would be taking a chance because he has not proven himself as an OC yet, BUT, I think I would give him a shot.

reportedly UT has been running the same playbook since the 1960's.

i don't think that an OC is going to unilaterally change that. even the HC may not be changing that.

That chest bumping freak had the only 1,000 yard receiver this year in the entire SEC. Man has got skills.

already told you this once and you never responded back.

The wrs also played on the most pass happy offense in the SEC. I'll dig up the numbers again for you though.

His receivers were also on the most pass happy offense in the SEC.

ainge threw the ball 8 more times than Woodson, 46 more times than JPW, and over 140 more times than the next closest qb

gatorhater, that was my response the last time you talked about having the only 1k receiver in the SEC. I'll also remind you the McKinley and a few others could have reached 1k had they had the chance to play one extra game.

The sky is falling
A teacher was telling the story of Chicken Little to her first grade class. She told them Chicken Little went up to the farmer and told him "the sky is falling". She then asked the class "what do you think the farmer said?". A little girl raised her hand and said "I think the farmer said Holy crap, a talking chicken..."

It's easy to look at Lucas Taylor and think Troop did a good job. Next, you look at Austin Rogers and reconsider.

Then you look at Briscoe and confirm your original thought. Next, you look at Kenny O'Neal and reconsider.

Yeah I don't really understand why Briscoe wasn't able to get on the field more in place of Rogers. I get tired of watching Rogers jump two feet in the air to catch every pass, regardless of where Ainge places it.

Let's think about this though....it wasn't that Rogers wasn't in a position to make a play....it's that he had Leonard Scott's hands surgically swapped with his old ones...
