Surgery now, then NFL combine.
Surgery now, return to UT next season with med redshirt.
No surgery now, play with pain rest of season.

Any other options?
Any insiders expect us to know when to expect news?

doudt he returns next season. Dobbs, Kamara, Hurd, Barnett, Sutton, O Brien, Vereen will all be gone to the NFL. Team will look totally different.

Will be determined on what round he is projected for Kamara, if he is projected below the 5th round because of a loaded RB draft class, he may stay another year

Barnett is not a sure thing. His draft grade would have to be pretty high.

Possible option I have not seen mentioned: play next two games, have the hypothetical surgery, then get paid.

Depending what is wrong with his shoulder, they could prevent his shoulder from further damage. I'm sure it would be a heck of a lot of pain to play through though.

He was just CO D- lineman of the week in the most competitive conference in the country and followed that up with a forced fumble that resulted in a go ahead TD. He was a preseason top 15 pick and seems to have improved on that.

Anyone thinking Barnett is "too small" or "doesn't have the numbers" is just deluding themselves. He has great numbers, better than Myles Garrett, is in Bruce Feldman's Heisman talk even, and is pretty big.

Barnett is unfortunately gone yesterday. And no one can blame him for leaving. He is right now a consensus Top 10-15 pick. Get your money. Look at what has happened to Cam Sutton and JRM. There are no guarantees.

He's playing along with Speedy Noil too. They both sat out last game. The only other A&M player that is question to play is Seals-Jones at WR.

If we continue with our big time season and make it to the playoffs, Alvin will go in the first 3 rounds like Kenyon Drake.

Exactly. People have to understand that real coaches and scouts look at things other than the stat book.

His pressure and hurries mean a lot in the NFL.
