In Coach Heupel's 2nd year leading the Vols, we have achieved so much. A win over Mizzou gave us 9 wins on the season, more than any Vols team since 2007, I believe. We lead or are near the top of several offensive categories and have a legitimate Heisman calibur QB.

With wins over Pitt, Florida, LSU and Bama we achieved a #1 ranking and are currently #5, with a high chance of being selected for the college football playoffs. This was done in just 22 months after finishing 3-7 and having a massive exodus of talent through the transfer portal.

Are they your favorite Vols? If not, then who? The SugarVols? The National Champion Vols of '98? Are they tied with another Vols team?

I don’t remember anything before Casey Clausen, and don’t remember anything well prior to Rick (90s baby). The better teams of the 00s still disappointed to some degree. So yes.

Yet to be determined. I still like my Al Wilson led team in 1998. Al’s presence on the field struck fear and we already won the phycological battle before they left the locker room. That’s what this team is missing, however I enjoy this years team and who knows, this book isn’t finished yet.

Probably depends on age. Anyone younger than 30 barely remembers the 98 championship, if they were even alive yet, so for me, this is definitely my favorite Vols.
The young ones got to watch the DVD on the 97 Vols. It’s something to appreciate. That’s if DVD can be played anymore. Really dating myself here

They are my favorite team because of what all these upperclassmen have been through. Have to remember some of them are not only currently on one of the best Tennessee teams ever, but they were also on the worst.

They have bought in and are playing with a level of cohesiveness and love that I would call it a family more than a team.

Really proud of them and CJH for all that they have done to get Tennessee back to being a pain in the @$$ of the rest of CFB and for making rival fans fear/hate us...

Gonna have to say 98 team still is number 1. But I can be bribed by another national championship.
😄, your name explains your vote! I loved '98. I'm not 100% sure this team is my favorite, but voted yes. I think the situations they were put in, the loss of so many scholarship players, a new coach, their exciting style of football, etc., have them edging out the '98 team by a small amount. We finish off this season and make it to the title game, not even win it, and they'll 100% be my favorite.

Favorite in what respect? I love what this team has accomplished and I'm confident they'll continue to win big. We have terrific players and coaches who I'm hoping win it all. I've been watching Tennessee games for more than 50 years and have enjoyed so many wonderful teams, players, and games. I'm not even going to try to weigh it all out and say, yeah, they're the best and my all-time favorite.

Not asking who is the best at winning/talent all-time. Just who is your favorite in terms of being the most fun to watch, the player story lines, the team's back story, the overall team identity. Out of all the season's you've seen, maybe asking if they're among the top few of your favorite Vol teams of all-time would be an easier question to answer.
