Abizaid may be a democrat, but I'll guarantee you that he is no Clinton supporter (neither one). Don't know what he thinks of Obama, but am willing to bet that he cringes to think of the military under the man.

Abizaid had a remarkable record until he had to become political. His Middle Eastern studies degrees had a lot to do with his later promotions, but his record prior was stout. After becoming more political, he went straight downhill.

Still, gotta give some respect to the CMH (unless we're talking about MacArthur's)

He is slightly more than that

I disagree with many of his decisions but to hear so many (not you) dismiss the guy as some sort of complete idiot in the media always gives me a good chuckle

With that said, he will never and should never be President of the US

He's far from an idiot, but his military career was finished at MG had Clinton himself not effectively promoted Clark to LTG.
