b4 he ever hired. 104.5 Nashville saying that Manning took the AD aside and told him if he was hired he would get UT in trouble , it was just a matter of time.

I think Hamilton, like a lot of us, was willing to take a chance on the "all-star coaching staff". We did. Now we get to reap the benefits.

I can't believe Hamilton didn't listen. The Mannings have given UT such excellent advice on hiring/firing coaches in the past.

It was a package deal.

That just lets you know how bad an AD Hamilton was. An all time top ten program like UT should have needed a package deal to hire a nobody like Kiffin. Kiffin never accomplished anything in the coaching profession before Hamilton hired him. It was a terrible hire from the beginning. There had to be better candidates for the job than Kiffin.

What does that have to do with telling the AD someone is a crook? Oh wait, nothing.
Yeah, it would make no sense to take into account that the Mannings were still whining about their lackey Cutcliffe being fired from Ole Miss and spent every moment trying to undermine Orgeron while he was in Oxford. There's certainly no reason to view with scepticism the advice of people who tried to tell you Buzz Peterson and Phillip Fulmer should still be employed. Great point. Never take anyone's motivations and track record into account when they are giving advice. Just take it at face value and believe it. That'll serve you well in life.

I'm sure Archie didn't know anything about Orgeron's shady dealings at Ole Miss. He is lucky he blew as a head coach and things didn't surface especially dealings with a certain lawyer when it came to recruiting. But I'm sure Archie knew nothing about that.

So, Coach O is the good guy and the Mannings are the problem. Are you ******* joking?

That "all-star" coaching staff of Lane, Monte, and Ed had a combined 31-57 head coaching record. UT should not be a school that "takes a chance" on assistans for big name coaches. UT should be the school thats pays $4 mill plus for a proven head coach. Who are we going to hire next, Sabans's kicking coach?

Sadly he's not. What he doesn't realize is that Archie wasn't bashing his coaching, he bashed the fact that he was as crooked as they get. And if Hamilton would've asked around, he would've gotten that response from more than just Archie.

Hamilton knew what Orgeron was. Hamilton turned Orgeron into the SEC for crap he was pulling at Ole Miss.

That's what you took from Hat's post? Orgeron is the good guy? C'mon man...

Would you be happy with Peterson and Cutcliffe as HC's? The Mannings haven't exactly put all-star quality recommendations on the University's doortstep.

True but it isn't like the OP is crediting Archie with saying anything that many don't already feel or believe. EO's reputation for shady dealings proceeded him then and now.

Hamilton knew what Orgeron was before he let Kiffin break him to Tennessee. Hamilton turned Orgeron into the SEC for crap he was pulling at Ole Miss.

If that's true Hamilton should be buried in a hole somewhere in the Appalachians.

Yep.... And why hasn't Ole miss been investigated? I just know that mumbles the red bull Cajun did something dirty while he was there.
