Appleby on playing in Neyland

Correct, he started road games at Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and some similar, he was back-up QB in venues such as Penn State, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

He's seen a ton of football in many different places.

Me too, but I wouldn't want to come into Neyland as an opposing quarterback.

He will be in for a rude awakening. No offense to those other schools but they just don't compare to Neyland.

An 18 year-old true freshman would be in for a rude awakening for sure, but I don't think Appleby will be. If anything, he'll be impressed, who wouldn't be, Neyland is one of many amazing venues in the SEC, and thankful for the opportunity.

Here's a guy who was stuck in a bad program, bad system, rotating as starter with other QB's, who now has one last chance to make a name for himself.

Mac and Nuss will ease him in to the game, I expect some hand-offs and easy passes for the first 2-3 series, before opening it up some after Appleby has settled in.

Should be fun, the added unknown dimension of "what can Appleby do" makes this the most intriguing UF-UT game in years.
