I just hope they'll be better prepared with supplies than last March. Luckily I got my iPad on launch night but I know that others were stuck for weeks without one due to back orders.

what are they thinking for the new iPhone? 2 models? A so-called iPhone "lite"? Anything ground shaking?

Oh the horror. I wonder how they slept at night.

Well, in my opinion, I'm thinking it's going to be two models: an iPhone 5 that is totally redesigned with a bigger screen, updated 8mp camera, and different casing, and then an iPhone 4S model that will basically be an updated iPhone 4 but with the upgraded camera and A5 chip that will run cheaper (to compete with the $100 Android models.

I'm thinking a big feature that will be explained is a new voice command upgrade that will allow 'voice to text' options seen on a lot of Android OS devices today.

Also, I'm sure they will speak briefly on an iPod touch refresh.

However, I'm anxiously awaiting this event. Looking forward to seeing what Apple has been keeping under wraps this whole time.

Also, I think if there is a "surprise upgrade" it'll be LTE.

I would be surprised. I think it will come with the next upgrade.

That's my thoughts. Apple has already stated they are content without LTE as it requires a sacrifice of battery size. IMO, I could care less about 4G. 3G works fine for me.

I agree.

I've even used it as a hotspot for my work computer on the road. It worked great.

Don't think they will after thinking about it. Why spend the money making 2 brand new devices when they can just sell the iPhone 4 for like $100 with a new contract and make the 3GS free with a new contract.

why would they have 2 phones out? Apple would rather have only ONE phone out and price it at $700 and watch all the morons camp out at Best Buy for it.

Most people just upgrade & pay the upgrade price & it's not close to $700. Nice try though.

Two could mean many things - one likely meaning is one for ATT; one for Verizon. Could be different memory sizes (they've done that in the past); could be as simple as colors - one white, one black.

People are talking like 2 totally differently designed phones may be released not just different color or capacity. Those 2 things are usually a given.

Whatever they happen to announce AT&T and Verizon are both getting the same phone(s). There will be 16gb and 32gb and both black and white versions. Sprint is probably getting it too.

The rumors have been saying the "second" phone is an Ipod touch that is 3G capable.

I've already known about the 3G on the iTouch. I'm sure that'll happen and that's probably the only major update to the iPod Touch line.

I don't understand 3G on an iPod touch when you can just get an iPhone.

I think it's the whole "iCloud" feature that's pushing it. And also, a lot of people have been wanting 3G on the iTouch. iPhones either require a 2 year contract or a $500+ price. And I think it appeals more to the younger kids, for games and such.
