m convinced that JG would have put up similar stats to Milton in our offense
.

That's a good point, however much like my teenage daughter was.......he (JG) just won't fricckin' listen.

My biggest memories are of him going rogue, just totally leaving the reservation and completely schitting the bed inside the 5 yard line

Really

That's awesome that he can throw the ball vertically. Hard to win with a horizontal passing game
Unfortunately we resorted to the 6 yard dump when Nico could not hit the wide open receivers. I think CJH was saying that exact thing when making this statement.

Since CJH has been here
21- started Joe then Hendon
22-started Hendon
23-started Joe
24-started Nico
25-started Joey??
Point being he’s not had a multi year starter(in his offense) here and 26 will probably be the same. Like to see this offense with 2-3 year starting QB running the playbook

I genuinely think it’ll be merk starting vs Syracuse

I'd be shocked. In the Spring, Hubbs and Price said Merk was definitely playing faster, but was nowhere close to pushing Nico. That makes me nervous, especially as average at best as Nico looked. I may be way off and completely wrong, but just don't see CJH giving Aguilar 1.4 or so million just to sit. You saw how we weren't going to overpay for a backup WR. Like I said, I could be completely misreading it. I'd be shocked if Aguilar doesn't start vs Syracuse.

I just dont see how someone could come in and take the job only being on campus 3 months over someone who’s been here over a year. Could be wrong though. I just want it to be a legitimate open position battle that the best guy wins, whoever it maybe

30 games of starting experience trumps a year of practice.

Normally I would agree, but on the other hand, I can’t see how a 19 yr old beats out a 23 yr old with 4 years of experience.

If Merk wins the job, it is a great sign that he is a stud, otherwise, I would expect the senior to win out.
