I can't remember seeing a team like WV so all over the different polls. I've seen them as high as #6 and not ranked on others....kinda weird

I am glad we are not getting any love..
When everyone sees the product on the field I think that will change..We HAVE talent..It was just never coached right..
We are going to surprise a lot of teams with our play..I can see us being 4-0 after floriduh game..
I have put last year behind me and I am pumped for this year to start...
I know I will be proud of this VOL team...

I did find it funny that the UKittens got a vote.. HAHA.. Agreed w/ @Giveem6, though - given the pitiful results last season and the fact that we have a new HC who has never been a HC, there is no reason for anybody to think that we should be ranked in the top 50 in any poll. If indeed we deserve to be anywhere near the top 25, we're going to have to prove it on the field.. If we start out the season 4-0, then it's a different conversation altogether.

We shouldn't be found anywhere either. Going 0fer in the sec and having the worst season in Tennessee history will do that. I'm having trouble understanding why some people are baffled we're not getting any love.
OP did say he was not surprised that we were nowhere in the 25. Nobody is surprised, not sure why people claim that others are. This board is evidence of that.

I think we are going to be shocked at the difference between last year and this year.
WV will not be ready for the VOLS.

Is the AP getting their crank from West Virginia or what? No way they are in the top 25.

You mean UF's not #1???? I thought Mullen was Saban and Bear combined.

Funny how a hail mary win over the worst team you played all year sets you up for BIG success the next!!

The girl who wrote this article sure is passionate about promoting the AP Poll. Not sure if she's carrying the water maybe for a job over there, or if she's just off on a diatribe. Polls are borderline meaningless nowadays. Thankfully.

How in the world is Florida even close to the top 25? They are in just as bad a shape as we are.

^ 68 is not real close.

I know I will catch hell for this, but I think Michigan will be a top playoff contender. Harbaugh finally has his QB with Patterson and the defense will be very good. I also think Penn State will be solid. Mississippi State has a great front 7 and a very good QB. If they were in the East I wouldn’t be surprised if they won our division.

We'll find out first weekend with Michigan and Notre Dame. Unless Notre Dame is extremely overrated, as usual.
