Offer him noting. He is under contract for $400K a year, if he don’t like it he can move chose to leave on his own and then UT don’t have to pay buyout. This makes the most sense since then any other hire at DC. Don’t need a great DC just need a DC that will give the offense a chance.

I agree with all of those. I wouldn't mind Kodi Burns instead of Tee, and Travis Williams instead of Simon, but either way is good. Eddie Gran certainly needs to be the choice for RBs. Kentucky has really churned out several really good running backs in his time there.

Is it fact that they met twice already (they - CJH and Steele)?
One would think if the HC wasn't interested, one meeting and it would've been over, unless he was going to let him go in the second meeting.

To me, it sounds like the first meeting went well enough for a second meeting, and maybe now they're just trying to hammer out a legit contract for a DC of his caliber as well as titles, AHC/DC, and the like.

Just my thoughts.

Going to be hard for JH to hire coaches until the investigation is complete. The only coaches he is going to get to come here are ones that truly love the university. Why do you think Tee hasn‘t been let go yet? If JH could hire a replacement Tee would have been fired with Chaney and Weinke.
