and really most of this season is why.

Wins are what count but when you:

- struggle with Appy St (got lucky to win)
- fall behind by 2TD's or more in every game except one
- do not put Ohio away until late in the 4th quarter
- need a Hail Mary to beat a pretty bad UGA team
- have 7 TO's and 700yds of offense and still lose
- Kentucky and Arkansas gave Bama a better game than we did

then the perception is you are undisciplined, lucky, and just not a very good football team overall and that seems to be reality.

If we entered yesterdays game with zero injuries and a bye week Bama still wins by 3TD's and that is reality of where we are in year 4 of Butch, the Cincinnati mastermind.

The Cinncinnati mastermind...lol

As if you can't tell already, I'm over Butch and his resiliency and competitive character crap.

The Vol Nation went ballistic when Hamilton put a clause in Fulmer's contract that gave him a year extension every time he won 8 games.

Now we have Butch the brick layer come along.

With all the injuries it is what is is. We are still on pace to have a better record than last year. Anyone who cannot see the improvement is blind or just a CBJ hater. Either way get over it and enjoy a great football season. There is still a lot of football left to play. The off seasons are too long to be *****ing now.

Do you guys remember how bad our Oline was at the beginning of the year? Okay now take away 2 more starters, and play Alabama. This was bound to happen. And the defense played okay for being so battered. We had a 2nd and 4th string linebackers, true freshman CB, and we lost 2 Dlinemen this week/during the game. Against Alabama.

Well he has improved our win total every year since he's been HC and that could very well continue this year but there are signs that we will never compete with the elite teams in our conference as long as he's here.

Raises an interesting point about why our starting OL was bad to start the year anyway. We returned most of them but they had regressed. When Appy St pushes you around in the first game, you know there are physicality problems.

:cray:the Vols 1 lost fumble and just one 10 yard penalty should not have produced that whipping. It's beyond embarrassing. It's nuclear.:cray:

Make it to Atlanta and then who knows what will happen. This game will be a distant memory. Big picture.

I think butch will try his best to leave after this year if he gets the opportunity. He's done that everywhere he has been. As far as coaching, half of volnation had never even heard of the dude when he was hired so I seriously doubt anyone thought he would be a world beater. In year 4 he has shown flashes of having a good football team. In my mind that doesn't cut it. You look at the elite coaches, they turn it around by year two. With the ad leaving though Butch will get to stay a while if he wants. Unfortunately I see this year as his pinnacle. I highly doubt the sec east will ever be this weak again.

LOL.....IF, and that is a big IF then I think we all know what will happen.

All of our starters back and healthy and even a bye week would have produced a 17-21pt loss. We are that badly coached and Bama is that superior.

What's worse is that Butch has seem to reached his potential, and when we finish out 10-2, that'll be enough of an argument to keep him around for several more years of "good, but not great".

This is exactly what scares me. He turns into a coach that wins 7 to 9 games a year and occasionally wins a down eastern conference. Basically becomes the definition of mediocrity. Doing just enough to keep the sunshine pumpers happy and looking forward to next year.
