This day and age, all you have to do is google his name and SOMETHING would come up if he had any connection at all to UT and/or the Falcons.

Maybe there was some half truth like he was recruited and didn't qualify or something.

Not sure how old he was.

I had a roommate a couple years back that claimed that he played linebacker for Tennessee and then for the Falcons.

He was a big guy. So, looked the part. But, nobody could find proof in stats, etc.

When he was asked if maybe he was on a practice squad or something, he said no. He claims that he was a starter at both Tennessee and for the Falcons.

SO, I've always wanted to solve that mystery. Does anyone remember anything about a player named Lee Jaitt?

Maybe a recruit that didn't make the team or something? ...

Pretty sad if you live with someone and cannot tell if he is lying or not.

Very true, I can google myself and find at least a blurb. Not famous, just the nature of the modern age.

Don't recognize the name and it doesn't show up in NFL's historical players database. The database has Eric Crouch in it so if he even made a roster he would show up in this thing.
Unless dude changed his name, you can call BS.

Haha. The consensus for years has been that he was a liar. Other facets point to that (secret drug use, etc.).

BUT, the thing that was odd about it was that he made this same claim in front of his old, "good", friends too. And they weren't exactly sports idiots. One of them worked directly with the Lakers and had a room in his house dedicated to USC memorabilia. So, he didn't seem like someone who wouldn't have looked into it himself and questioned old Lee.

I'm still leaning toward liar. But, thought maybe there was some half truth like he was recruited and didn't qualify or something.

(I'm really not completely sure how old he was. He was a short-term roommate that I only knew from a newspaper ad. He said that he played with the starting RB at UCLA in highschool [around 2004]. So, I believe that would put him around the recruiting class of 2000ish? Maybe a little earlier if he was older than that RB)

Some people just love to lie.......do u see that kid who had a press conference and prep rally at his HS, and committed to Cal recently?? Only problem was that he was never offered a scholly from Cal........This guy is like that guy........total LIAR........:eek:lol:

i would think someone wouldn't make such claims in the age of the internet if it weren't true, but then again, this guy could be just THAT kind of lame. if you let me know around the year he played i'll ask some folks i know.

Not everything is on Google. This kid could have been a walk on

We were able to find the backup punter whenever he started running his mouth. If we can find the backup punter, we could find a kid who claimed to start, and play for the Falcons as well.

Sounds like a good line at the bar. "Yeah, I played LB for TN and the ATL Falcons. I'm kinda of a Big Deal." He sounds like a douche from Alabama.

Anyway, I appreciate any effort anyone put in to figuring out the mystery. I was just hoping someone who has followed recruiting there for years might remember something.

Kinda wonder why someone who played in the NFL would need to get a roomate from a newspaper ad, you'd think he'd have a little more money to maybe get his own place.

Thats one way I would figure he was lying.
