Uh, yeah. All the PS fanboys have been saying for years... What's gonna happen when Sony gets better graphics than Microsoft, to go along with the better game development?

I honestly see the PS3 setting it self up to dominate the game market here for the next 5 years, this time spanking Microsoft in the US as well as internationally.

Not a big deal to me, but I do find it funny that people are camped out at Wal-Mart and have been there for a couple days waiting for it to come out.

cheaper? how do you figure?

performs better? based on what? numbers i have seen the the "cell" processing is overrated and underperforms in a real world environment. It's unlikely that game developers will be able to take advantage of the 8 cells now, if ever. Even if they could with no cache or no direct access to memory it's unclear that they will have much impact on gaming.

xbox 360 3 cpu cores > PS3 one core.

All that aside, I still don't see how ps3 will compete with xbox live which is important to me.

I have a ps3 ordered but I can't imagine I'll play it as much as the 360 aside from and exclusive title or two. ....we'll see.

It's all in getting the same level of functionality... To get the same kind of feautures out of an XBox 360 that you get out of the box on a PS3 60GB version, you need the XBox 360 pro package, HD-DVD player, wireless internet adaptor and media remote which ends up amounting to over $700, and still has only 1/3 the memory capacity of the PS3.

media remote came with mine.

you mean 1/3 the storage capacity? because I thought the memory (RAM) on the ps3 was lacking.

I would rather choose those options than have a blue ray player (cough betamax cough) and a wireless adapter shoved down my throat whether I want it or not. I do see your point though.

Well, the cheaper PS3 version has the same level of features as a XBox 360 pro package.

I'll see how the new online thing works out with Sony... Microsoft definitley won with XBox Live last gen, but these are two new systems.

XBOX

I like the statement I read in a article stating that the PS3 is better for viewing HD because of 1080p..... The next week Microsoft released an update for 1080p

See that’s what I love about Microsoft.....In my opinion (which everybody has one.....) The Xbox has more room to grow. And also I agree with Freak PS3 want be able to match Live. Live is WELL established.

I also think it's a possibility Sony is happy with their internet gaming worldwide... In which they spank Microsoft. Finaly Fantasy XI was HUGE. Halo 2 was as well but has since died out... Who produces the next monster online game?

Also think of this......what if HD-DVD wins the battle?!?!? What will that do to PS3s? Maybe nothing, but if blu-ray wins then the xbox hd-dvd is seperate. But I see a two companies joining forces later in HD-DVD & blu-ray
