Our Corners get pushed back when trying to come up to tackle against the run.

Our D line too often does not get a push, in fact often pushed back.

Also, why was our D Line lining up a yard off the line?

Obviously with my first two points, that was mostly against G.T. since playing bad team today, but still noticed corners not able to get off blocks today too.

Just be thankful we didnt play a decent team today. Our defense is either as bad as the Tech game. Or today they played very vanilla in hopes of not showing to much of anything new before Gator week.

I totally agree on all points. Bottom line, our defense to this point is just a repeat of last season. I was excited when we hired Shoop, but am losing confidence in him with every game I watch. Unless we get more physical both up front and on the corners, we will be a 6-6 team at best this season

Abernathy looked like a corner on one PBU down field. Seems like he could play corner

One of the worst teams in FCS. Our walk ons should be able to penetrate enough to keep them from making the corner on those jet sweeps.

Exactly. But reading some people's excuses on here as to why our defense consistently got burned, one would think Indiana State runs a complex scheme that is so hard to figure out.

Good Lord. Pick, pick, pick. 42-7. Gheesh.

Yes, and as I mentioned it was also with the G.T. game. Plus playing a team like that, shouldn't our starters and even second string be out of game by 4th quarter? We still had starters out there. Good thing they did not get hurt.

Just hope we play significantly better by Florida game, or next game (in case game moved due to hurricane)

Our D is ok to win against your average joe, it won't beat Bama Ga Lsu or Florida. I'm worried we won't beat Vandy this year also....

It's the same as last year. There were indicators in the early games that we had serious issues on defense, even before the injuries piled up, and the orange-glasses brigade threw out "we played vanilla on purpose" until there were enough injuries to trot out that excuse for the historically bad defensive performances at the end of the season.

Shoop needs to go. Obviously we have talent on defense. but it is not getting coached up. Why is Todd Kelly Jr not starting?

I believe this program is still behind in the strength department. One offseason with Rock cannot make up for the past year or however long, of poor strength and conditioning program. Our guys still don't "look" like players from the big time programs. And who knows, Rock might not be the answer either. We just don't look like a strong team. Just my opinion

If we don't play Florida next week, we have to canx Southern Miss game or maybe with so many canx games, NCAA allows conference championship games to be moved out a week.

Shoop was excited when we hired him too, said no one will run on us. Fact is he was wrong, just like most of us that Kmac and Kongo and others were BEASTS but they are at best average, and our best are injured.
Time to face it, the CBJ "great recruiting " has been WAY overrated!!
