I play the guitar, and can work my way around a piano (not masterfully by any means). I was just wondering if there are any other musicians in VolNation Land.

Here's pictures of my two babies:

A classical guitar will soon join these two.

Been playing for about 7 years now... Two years of formal training, rest just playing in bands, messing around, etc. I'll put picks of some of my stuff up in a bit.

These are my two main guitars... I also own two bass guitars, a frankenstein project build stratocaster from a long time ago and a classical acoustic.

By the way, taking pics got me to get out my acoustic for the first time in a while. I don't believe it's seen daylight in almost two years now.

Gorgeous guitars. Along with buying a classical guitar, I plan on buying a dark natural finish acoustic guitar.

Thanks.

For dark finishes, I have always been a big fan of Martin. Gibson makes the good big body 'stics.

There are a couple I have been looking at. One is an Ovation. I have a friend who works for Fender so he can get me half off of any guitar that is one of the Fender Brands... which ould be Ovation, Gretsch, Jackson, etc. :clapping::clapping:

Gretsch! Gretsch! Damn I love those.

Yeah he just got the job. He can get 1 guitar from each brand half off every year. I mentioned buying a classical guitar to him (I just want a cheap one to screw around with before I commit to buying a nice one) and he showed me this awesome 450 dollar Ovation classical (the only one they make), it's acoustic-electric with a dark natural finish. I'm currently drooling over it.

I play mainly guitar, now, but am classically piano-trained from the age of 6. I have a Taylor A/E, Epiphone Elitist LP, and an older Fender HM Strat. Currently, piano-less. . . .that's probably the next big investment for me. I also tinker on the drums and bass.

Mostly, I write fairly dark and mellow stuff that doesn't really "fit" into a genre. I guess you would call it "singer/songwriter" style, but that term has become so cliche. I just call it "me."

I saw a guy play a concert on TV and his guitar had accoustic had holes all in it. Was that a style, look or was it just worn out?

Love the inlay on the neck of the accoustic.

I have no musical talent but I have great respect for those that do.

I can play the hell out of some Rock Band drums though.
