Anyone Hearing That Mayo Is Probably Staying?

Mayo could easily jump into the 1st round after his combine performance

So...how in the world did Mayo get a 3rd round projection and Foster get a 2nd round projection...

Don't get me wrong...I like Foster and I think he is a very good back...

But Mayo is a special talent at LB and Foster just doesn't have that thing that makes and RB a true game breaker...

It must be a down year for RB's

Foster's stock would fall after the combine, while Mayo's would soar...just a gut feeling

That would be my guess since NFL teams draft by need.

It might not even be that bad of a year... just alot of teams looking for RB's instead of LB's.

OTOH, I think this is going to be a good year for LB's, right?

I think those projections try to take into account what a combine might do for a guy. Either way, it would be very risky for a guy to depend on a combine if he didn't have to.

Excellent research. I thought the size of the contract would be further apart. But the important difference is the guaranteed money. Huge drop off in guaranteed money.

Um, that is a big difference. $2m/year, and Ross wasn't a high 1st round pick.

Here's hoping Mayo stays, I will wait for 1/15 with great anxiety as I see Mayo as a complete beast next year, ala Little or Wilson.

But as in last years case, Meachem, go fo it if you can get the $, there are few guarantees in life...if you get a fat one, jump on it, I can't bad mouth a kid for doing so.

if he's a first rounder, he needs to go, if not, call Lloyd's and stay
