Took my gf to the Miranda Lambert concert in Nashville last night because she loves Miranda. I wouldn't call myself a country fan by any means, but I had a blast. Anyway, we were talking about how much fun we had at the concert last night and CMA Music Fest came up.

Is anyone else going? How much are you paying for tix? Do you think if I waited until the week of, day of, or even hour of, that I could score some tix for cheaper?

I've never been to CMA Music Fest so I'm trying to get a good idea of how much I'll be looking at spending and what to expect.

Ideas, experiences, stories, advice all welcome.

I've heard that it's exactly as advertised: an awesome few days of the top country music performances.

I don't really have any experience with it besides what my friends who have been have told me. From their reactions, I can tell ya that you will not regret your taking your gf! They had a blast!

Best of luck with your decisions!

I've been to the Music Fest multiple years, and I can honestly say I have never regretted going. The only thing is the sets the bands play are shorter than what you would see at a normal concert. So if you have some bands you like more than others, you might be a little disappointed with the ammount of songs they play.

I would definitely suggest catching some shows at the River Stage. To be honest, we always had more fun at those than we did at the nightly concerts at LP. You catch a mix of older performers and the up-and-comers. I'm pretty sure it's still free for those shows, too.

Thanks for the responses.

Any ticket advice? Go ahead and lock those up? Or wait it out and take a chance?
