Anyone Experiencing Slow page loads - please post here

I was curious if anyone else is running slow today? I usually only have problems in the mornings, but this site has been very slow all day for me.

I have DSL and it has been slow ever since Freak put the sponsor link back up. As long as it brings in money to the site I don't mind waiting 10 extra seconds though.

gtopen43, try making sure you delete all of your temporary internet files and your cookies and try again. The ads should NOT be slowing things down at this point with the default 2k7.1 skin. The ads are set to load independently of the site. That means the site will load first and the ads will load at some point after that. Any slow down from the ads should not be affecting the overall page loads. Please keep posting if you have issues as I don't expect anyone to have any slow page loads if I have anything to do with it.

Mid TN Vol Fan, please post in this thread when it happens. Every once in a while could be normal internet congestion but if happens more than once in a while, I need to know about it.

govols182, a 10 second wait is unacceptable. Please post here every time that happens.

It's hard for me to troubleshoot since I am not personally experiencing this.

Alright, I will. But ever since I posted that lest message in here, I've been running pretty fast. No problems here as of now.

Glad to hear it, just make sure you have cleared out your temporary internet files if it happens again. If you experience it in the future please please post here so I'll be aware.

pretty much every time I refresh or "post reply", I get a hang of 5 or 6 seconds with blank orange screen. Orange is nice, but it's been happening that way for a good 10 days for me. I'll try clearing tif's and cookies like you said, freak...

Freak i have had some problems for about a week now. Not just my home puter have had the same delays on my laptop. Am on DSL down here in Birminghell.

Is this only when you hit refresh or post reply? Are you using internet explorer or firefox or something else?

Don't scare me like that. I was thinking we might be in the clear. Mondays have been the biggest day people seem to have had issues and I haven't seen any complaints today so.....

I just got a report from hmanvolfan that he is experiencing slow page loads tonight. Anyone else?

My page loads were taking about a minute apiece 10 minutes ago. It has since quit being so slow... Maybe it's a local thing. I don't know, of course...

I'm really not sure hman. I haven't had any issues but that's why i have this thread.

Its slow for me tonight. First time in a long time its been this slow for me. Might just be my POS computer though.
