Anyone else want Milton to start….

Yes I feel Milton is the better option and yes i know he overthrows everything. But if he can hit a couple game changing plays is our only shot this week in my opinion.

I think Hooker earned the start with how he’s played the past 1.75 games. I think Hooker’s been the better of the two. Just needs to take care of the ball better when he’s running.

But it wouldn’t surprise me if Milton starts if he’s healthy.

Yes, play Milton all the snaps he can get. Why? He has 2 years after this season. Hooker is gone. Bailey will likely find a better fit for himself. Heupel knows years 2 and 3 need to show significant progress. Milton is rough right now, but he also has the most potential to become a high-level QB. I'd be ok with Hooker playing also. However, Milton is the best chance for this team to make a step forward in year 2. It's hard for us to see past the last game and the next game but we have to realize there's more to consider here long-term.

I believe Hooker has another year.
You’d think I’d look that up before posting…..hold on
Edit: 2 years left when he got here. 21 and 22

FYI, Hooker has this year and next year here. He came to us with two years of eligibility left.

Until a few days ago, I also thought he was a one year player, and I felt the same as you. But once I learned he was 2 year player here, it changed my opinion.

We may be seeing all 3 if our line doesn't hold up.
Makes sense that the line is in more rhythm will Milton. IMO he's been getting #1 reps pretty much the whole summer. If he could hit those WR down the field that would probably slow down the rush that FL is going to bring
If the line breaks down. I feel Hooker is the best option to run and get yards but with that comes fumbles, he said in the presser he needs to work on holding on to the ball.

My apologies if I'm wrong. Crap! I'm conflicted again.

Perspective check: deep breath.

We have options. We have a staff that will try. That's nice. At least we can have a discussion about it, as opposed to the you-know-what seasons the last 4 years.

Now back to debating.

Florida is likely going to dog stomp us. I don't think it matters. Containing that qb is going to be a big problem. That said whoever it is I hope we play well and have a chance at the rnd. Cant ask for more

You have two QBs that couldn't play for their teams at their weaker conferences going to come in and play well against a very good Gator defense that took Bama to the line with a series of 3 and outs nobody else has been able to do? The third QB apparently does not have the confidence of coaches to hardly play at all, probably will not get enough playing time to even letter this year. THIS is what goes into The Swamp for UT? Brace yourselves.
