man... the schedule is brutal. 6-6 with a bowl is a reasonable goal for this season. I don't think a New Years day bowl is possible

absolutely!!! i think we lose a close game to bama. and possibly oregon just because its early. and maybe another game (lsu?)

Barring an utter collapse all across the SEC, no way that happens. I like Dooley and believe in him, but contrary to beliefs on this board, we have to little inexperience at key postions to really do well.

We're not playing football in January, IMO. I am honestly just hoping for the 6 winds to get us to a bowl. That is my prediction, 6 wins, and I *hope* we make it.

Losses to Florida, Oregon, LSU, and Bama should be accepted. Outside of that, I'm not 100% sure on our push" games except Georgia, which I think we will win, f*** Georgia.

9-3 is our limit. But, I think we will get 8-4.

we should beat atleast 1 if not 2 of these teams we only lost to bama cause of bad special teams. florida has talent but they are young like us and im going to the lsu game so we will have a 12th man present

We have really owned GA (in general) for a while, I hope we don't lose that. But, more than anything, I would love to get the win over Alabama that we should have gotten last year (with due credit to last year's staff).

i think we will do a little better than people think...but just dont expect anything major. we need to realize tennessee is in the worst shape i think any school is in ever. new coach new freshman qb and probably new 4 true freshman on the oline.

Oh...and a new RB who was the 3rd string RB last year.

And we lost a top 10 draft pick in the backfield and a (likely) top 20 draft pick on the d-line.

I do think that UT will suprise someone, but will also lose a game we should win. I am going for 7-6 with a bowl win.

We don't have depth which will hurt, especially later in the season....I'm thinking 6-7 wins...8 if we get lucky. Im just hoping for a bowl game.

If Dooley gets this team to 500 then he should be coach of the year. We lost starting qb,rb,all O-Line and some back ups, and playing in the SEC. Lets get real here.

I think we can be at a New Years day bowl if we get our tickets now. WOW, we sure are mixing the Kool-Aid strong today aren't we. Well...ya know wth, pour me a glass too i'm thirsty!

Whether or not we can have a good season depends on your definition of good season. I think we can certainly match last year (7-6), but it'll be hard to get much beyond that.

My realistic but optimistic prediction is a 7-5 regular season. I would like to say that we could get to 9-3, but I think if we get the requisite upsets, we'll slip against somebody. So I'll say the cap is 8-4. Nine wins will only happen with a fantastic regular season and a good bowl matchup.

I see 5 wins (Martin, UAB, Memphis, Vandy, Kentucky)
5 losses (Oregon, Florida, LSU, Bama, Missippi)
2 toss ups (Georgia and Carolina)

My gut tells me that we will lose both toss ups and finish 5-7.

Move Ole Miss to toss up and I think you got it!:good!:

We will surprise most imo

6-6 at worst and 9-3 at best is where I see us finishing the regular season. 7-5 or 8-4 is where I would make a wager if I had to.

Yes our schedule is tough but we have more all-around talent than last year and our toughest games are at home. We beat UGA and SC last year, no reason to think we won't get a W this year. Our DC beat Oregon last season with less talent, their QB is suspended and it's in Neyland.

The big test will be "coaching-up" our talent for this new staff and I personally think that will be a strong suit, which will turn a couple close games into W's. Dooley and Co. are focusing alot on fundamentals, discipline and work ethic. Combine that with good talent and we will surprise most, even with our lack of depth.

I know I'm more optimistic than most but I'm a glass half full guy...go VOLS!:)
