Just finished "again" the tape from the O/W game.

Inky Johnson showed some skill & speed that we've been lacking on punts/kick returns.

Last year was miserable for the most parts of special teams. Every punt and or kick off ya just hoped someone would just break off and atleast get the ball out of our end of the field.

Special teams play is just as important as any QB,RB or defense, We've not had the "speedster" or "moves" that poses the threat of the past.

Im looking for Great things this year as all of you. Its been some time yes' that going into the summer I have felt things comming together!

In no way do i feel the program is slipping nor falling! There is alot of pride to be had in being the underdog. The lack of respect fuels the fire and seems to bond the TEAM.

Yeah, I was kind of worried when I thought about the players that we are losing after next season..

Then I remembered our recruiting class this year and felt much better!

I only saw his runs live and I don't reember them that well besides for the pics I got. Since you have broken down the film do you think he looked that good or some of it was poor tackling?

Well certainly it was just what it is "O/W" game. But has some nice foot work and speed. Your taught to run North and South. So sure some didnt wrap up as supposed to. Im just saying that the focus of special teams, appears to have been give'n thru the spring. Just hope the kicking game improves! I dunno what you think? But i wasnt very pleased

i think more or less it was poor tackling because if you see him runnin he cuts all the way across the field and then starts runnin north. I think in a real game he might end up losing a few on runnin back a few yards like he did. Not to say he wont have some good runs but i think against an sec starting punt coverage team he doesnt make that play. Same thing makes me wonder about hefney's interception. Maybe it was just a horrible throw by hardegree but we havent had a corner to step up and make big play like dewayne goodrich did in the national title game. Jason Allen is good but i hope he makes some plays like that this year.

Your right, I just try to look at it as some type of improvment of the last few yrs.
As for heffy's INT yea looked like a miscommunication or very off pass'.
I do believe Heffs play from last yr was as good ive seen from a freshman and with more play/practice cant help but think he'll be a stand out!
Allen Yup! by far the man in the DB's, just cant have your safety and CB's making every other tackle. As for Inky we must have an return specialist! I cant stand seeing a leading rusher or a starting DB return kick's
