hopefully Austin Rogers isnt one of them, that kid has butter fingers.

he's had some solid games so far this year. He hasn't dropped anymore than the other receivers you've mentioned (Warren, Jones, etc)

And hopefully if they blitz us, we throw a short pass, or have a sneaky little screen set up for 17 or so yards.

Then again, that'd be asking a lot from what i've seen...
Our coaching staff is not capable of coming up with something to counter a blitz

This will not keep Terrence Cody from pitching a tent in our backfield the whole game against Bama. Our O line sucks, and Stephens is going to get killed by him if he throws anything over 10 yards. He will definitely be the best DT that our line has faced all year so get ready.

I predict that Fulmer is going to try any kind of play he can pull out of his donut hole to try and get some points on the board and rescue his job. In the end I think his desperate attempts is going to cost him another game ( at home ). Then the nail is in the coffin.

2. Going five wide: That may be overstating it a bit, but Tennessee is going to try and open it up a little more and play to quarterback Nick Stephens' strengths. Throwing the deep ball is one of the best things he does, and sophomore receiver Denarius Moore has emerged as the Vols' best deep threat. Look for the Vols to get more of those guys on the field in spots to see if they can do a better job of spreading defenses out and backing safeties off the line of scrimmage. Whatever it is, Tennessee's got to find a way to keep defenses honest and run the ball better.

i guess at this point we have to try anything. Wonder who the 5 WRs would be, obviously G. Jones, L. Taylor, D. Moore, but the other two? Maybe Brandon Warren and J. Briscoe ,hopefully Austin Rogers isnt one of them, that kid has butter fingers. We need to get Brandon Warren the ball

Am I the only one who's seen Brandon Warren dropping balls this year?

What five wide and throw a screen pass. The o-line will never hold up long enough for this to help much.

I saw in today's paper ona spread about Stephens that the 60 yarder he threw was the longest pass play we've had since 2006! :shakehead:

I'm not sure about (5-Wide Set) but I would like to see something like the Pats and Colts run. Stretch the field, sideline-to-sideline and keep the D-backs far off the line as much as possible.

I say we run the A-11 with Nick Stephens and Gerald Jones

Wow, whoever came up with that scheme is a grown ass man.

That is one of the craziest things I have ever seen. I doubt it will ever be implemented in d1-a (although maybe as a trick play formation to confuse the defense) but it looks really fun to watch.
