I had already accepted that Auburn was going to recover the onside kick and score a touchdown to win it. I was thinking about what a dagger it would be, to snatch defeat, again, from the jaws of victory.

I'm ashamed, but we've just seen so many bad things happen to our beloved Vols.

But it was different today. First win over a western division team since 2010.

I though it was nice that the camera panned to Fulmer as time expired. Happy for him. Happy for Pruitt. And I'm thrilled for our fans, me most of all. :)

Go Vols!

I was on the phone with somebody who couldn't see the game at the time. I may or may not have said "you know what's getting ready to happen."

Yes, I was so convinced Auburn was going to win/Tennessee was going to blow it, that I had about 5 celebration with 5 minutes to go posts quoted ready to fire off the "nice jinx" post.

Yeah Freak, I am with you. Today shocked me. I expected AU to demolish us. I was pleasantly surprised and happynto be wrong. But I was worried at the end. I was thinking the same thng. AU score and there is time left. My stomach sank. But thankfully, we got the win. Very nice to see some improvement.

Yeah at half time I was telling my friend how it’s all gonna unravel. I suck. Vols are the best team ever!!! And nobody is mentioning Auburn is ranked, just oh Auburn needs to figure it out blah blah blah...TN is turning the corner. Bring the croots.

Yeah when the zebras kept stalling the clock, putting more time on it, and giving the enemy every opportunity to close the gap with an extra quarter in the last few seconds, cynicism was looking awfully tempting to give into for a second, but I'm glad I didn't give in to it.

You weren't alone brother. I was on delay and had to check the score at the five minute mark because I couldn't stand the thought of watching that possibly happen. Dropped to my knees and did a fist bump when I saw final on the phone and us with the win.

My husband is Mr positive and I'm Mrs negative and even he was like "I told you don't get too excited saying we've already won" and I freaked out after their last TD. I'm not sure I could fully see though the blanket I had covering my face in utmost worry lol...

Today felt different for some reason... We looked different and played with an unusual amount of confidence and it showed on 3rd down. I would normally have had that sinking feeling as well after their last touchdown but I didn't. We just looked like a different team today. This feels awesome!

I have this battery-operated, head-in-the sand dog with more than a passing resemblance to Smoky, who barks and kicks his leg when you whoop or stomp the floor. Had him turned off until we got the onside kick.

He's been barking and kicking ever since.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't run the same scenario thru my head after their last score.

Yeah, that is exactly our thoughts at my home. They get the onside kick and win. It would be the most VOL thing ever. So so glad things worked out.
