Anyone catch Josh Dobbs on Finebaum?

Was driving and listening to Paul Finebaum on Sirius and he had Josh Dobbs on. Proud of the man he has become and what a great ambassador for the Vols. He was talking how excited he was about hosting Volnation in Jacksonville since he had gotten traded to the Jags. Spoke at length about the transition to the NFL getting better and struggling to keep up with UT games on his phone when they were travelling. One thing I did notice at least a half dozen times was he used the word resiliency talking about the Jags, his trade, the Vols rebound after the first two games, etc... I was cringing every time he said it cause I was just seeing Intern Butch whispering Resilience into his ear.

Before or after butch started showing Saban how to do things brick by brick.? I hadn’t really noticed Saban use it that much but I was damn sick of hearing it in the ut after game pressers that butch talked at.... I’ll keep an eye on Saban

Ehh, just because an eejit overuses a word doesn’t mean that it doesn’t represent a valid concept.

'Resiliency' has become just an over-used term in sports right now, much like 'physicality' was for a while prior to that. Once a word gets out there it becomes ho hum to hear it because it has become part of the sports lexicon.

I did hear it. I also chuckled at his uses of "resiliency" as well as "ball out". Finebaum had nothing but high praise for him.

Ha Ha Butch never got through an interview without using the word resilient and preparation. He was like a robot. Hope Dobbs didn't get infected with it.

Boo on you. I think most of us on here would have like to see Dobbs get his shot with the Steelers this year since they did go to the 3rd string.

He got his shot for a couple of years there and didn't demonstrate enough to keep ahead of Rudolph. He's a great kid but that doesn't mean he's a NFL caliber QB.
