Maybe they should play that to the team before the game.

I have to admit, when I hear it, still pisses me off

Screw Larry Munson. John Ward never said anything derogatory about another team all the while you still knew where his loyalty was. Larry Munson was classless for that. I will admit I didn't hear it till got home as I was in stadium that day and was extra salty for how that game ended.

When your program is not doing well most people talk about the glorious past. We have been doing too much of this lately too.

I've always felt the same way about the call that day. Utterly classless.

I had to work that day and called my dad and got the play by play from him, it was much different, I'm not sure if he said bye before hanging up. Just click. Now days the Ga announcer uses "Give him six", that a dirty dog for ya.

Get that W Vols.

It's ironic that they're still recalling it all these years later, since ol' Larry probably didn't even remember saying it the next morning.

The legendary John Ward would have never said that, but then, Munson was always an infamous homer for the Bulldogs. Not that the radio hosts aren't homers, but I mean, Munson was a homer's homer.

Larry Munson was the worst play-by-play announcer in the history of sport. He was so bad if you listen to him you would cheer for whoever Georgia was playing. Way way back in the day he was play by play for Vandy and he hated Tennessee with a passion. He was so biased in his announcing it was pathetic. He's one of the many reasons that I can't stay in Georgia
